Glamping at Kidwelly Farm Cottages is on a working farm, Penlan Isaf, overlooking the ancient town of Kidwelly. The site has spectacular views of the countryside, the Gower Peninsula and nearby coastline, and the two safari tents with wood-fired hot tubs are set in their own two-acre field with plenty of space and freedom to explore. An ensuite shepherd's hut with its own luxury electric hot tub offers the perfect romantic getaway for two.

My partner and I arrived at the site and was greeted by the host who gave clear instructions on how to make it to the hut. However, the road was fairly uneven and had potholes throughout. Although suitable for my car, many may struggle. We parked with no issues and came into a space that had a prepared fire space which was a perfect setting for us beginning. Snacks upon arrival and provided toiletries and towels made an efficient and pleasant stay. The fire did die down and ran out of logs. However after a quick call, we were told to drive back up the uneven road to meet someone for more. The hot tub area was excellent. It was easy to use and a great style for anyone who wants to use it. We loved the space and the relaxation offered. We went to heat up food in the kitchen space however, this proved to be an issue. This space was appealing as it had this option and we wanted to bring some food that was cooked by us. However, due to the pot not registering with the induction style hob provided, it refused to heat up. After many failed attempts and google searches, we were forced to drive to a neighbouring town 25 minutes away. What was meant to be a heated up, home cooked meal turned into an hour round trip. Despite this mishap, it was an excellent stay and a fantastic option for anyone looking. Issues being the road and pot issue, we would recommend to those looking for a lovely night away overlooking the Welsh views.

There are two safari tents, plus other pods and holiday cottages on a working farm. You have to go through the farm to get to the tents, but this area is completely separate and they aren't on top of each other like many sites. The views are beautiful and stretch across the Gower peninsula. Tent was well furnished and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Everything you need to be clean really was - few cobwebs up high and in out of the way places, but it's a tent so spiders can get in - we even had a friendly cat manage to worm his way in to the lounge area in the middle of the night! Really lovely stay and our toddler was very sad to leave!

This was an amazing night away for me and fiancé. Wanted to have a quick break away so we could relax and enjoy. And that's what we got. Amazing views of the surrounding area. The hut was clean when we arrived and just amazing. Enjoyed our night with quick dip in the hot tub. The owners were lovely and so friendly! We've already recommended to some friends and family.

Arrived at Kidwelly Farm Cottages yesterday. We were lucky to have beautiful weather where we could see clear views over the Gower. Lovely, clean hut to stay in. Had all the items required to make some food (although we had difficulty using the hob - please do not use your own pan like we did. It is magnetic and therefore need to use the pans they provide). After knowing this it was easy to use! Also had a little fridge to keep food chilled. Gorgeous location, and hot tub looks over beautiful fields. Already looking to re-book and will definitely return.

Lovely place. Lovely location, accommodation was perfect. Owner was very kind and helpful. Beach, petting farm etc near by. Local shop and takeaways.
