This was the perfect stop off on route from Sussex to Edinburgh. Beverly is just a short walk and and even quicker cycle. A big selection of shops, bars and restaurants and a station for trains to very attractive villages, coastal towns and cities. Lots to do! The site is beautifully kept with spacious pitches and modern facilities. I would recommend Butt Farm without reservation.

Very basic. Told on confirmation email we would have electric for phone chargers etc, but there wasn't. The beds were awful, if you are 5ft or under then you will fit fine. However, you will wake every hour as the mattress is so thin. You would be comfier on the ground. The owners were nowhere to be seen all weekend. As soon as we checked in, the closed sign was put on and when we checked out, we had to just leave the keys at the office because it wasn't attended for us to give the keys to anyone.

Thank you for your review, Jessica. These are traditional wagons and are off grid. Within the confirmation email it states there is electricity in the shared facilities for phone charging should you require it. The mattresses are bespoke due to the size of the traditional wagons and are a made from foam used in both boat & caravan beds. The sizing is mentioned on our listing - as they are smaller than a standard double bed again due to the size of the wagon. Upon check in you would have been given a welcome note that has our details on - these are also in each wagon. It states to get in touch with us if you require anything at all. As we are a small site we only man our reception for check in and like to leave our guests to enjoy their time away, knowing that they have our details should they need us. Thanks, Jen.

What a lovely little site. We were camping. A good size plot. Really quiet. Lovely friendly and helpful owners. Immaculate facilities and amenities. Use of fridge and freezer was very useful. Near the lovely little town of Beverley with some lovely eating places.

We had a week stay in the Showman Caravan at Butt Farm. We loved it. Great facilities for such a small site. Never felt overly busy. Warm welcome from the owners and useful information boards in the washing up area. Close to Beverley and a large Morrisons supermarket. Lots to do in and near Beverley.

Just arrived home after a 4 day stay at Butt Farm. Great campsite and very quiet lovely walks in the fields and public walks. Owner Jen was lovely and very welcoming, the receptionist (owner's mother-in-law) was lovely and very helpful and welcoming. Would highly recommend this campsite.

A lovely site. A bit of a walk to the bus stop as I am disabled, but close to a supermarket and other shops. Lots of walks.

Travellers Rest

Stayed in the Travellers Rest. There is a little step to climb into bed. Nice decking to sit on. Each glamping caravan had a picnic bench. Lovely little glamping van perfect for 2 people. We took our 8 month old frenchie who loved the open space. The caravan is next to the cows field so they came to have a look at us, our puppy didn't care too much for them once he was settled and knew they were about. The facilities are perfect, a utility room with 2 sinks, a fridge & freezer. The toilets and showers were clean. We will be booking again.

First, I have to say at the very last minute we were able to add an extra guest onto our party. When we arrived we were met and shown where the facilities were, and left to go settle in. The showman's retreat was larger than I had anticipated with plenty of storage available. Situated to one side of the site, with plenty of space around without feeling isolated. The kitchen area on-site for washing up etc was spacious with great local information and plenty of recommendations for walks, shops and more nearby. There were also farm fresh eggs available to purchase on site, which were very tasty! Bathroom facilities were clean and tidy and looked great. Overall it was a fantastic stay, our children had an amazing time and definitely enjoyed being visited by the farm cat Tiger and being able to pet the two resident goats. I can not recommend this site and the staff enough, you will not be disappointed!

We stayed in our campervan on a hardstanding pitch. Pitches were well spaced in a pretty location. The facilities are excellent, as described by many other reviews. The warm shower/toilet block was particularly appreciated on a chilly day. Pleasant 45 minute walk into Beverley mainly through parkland, well worth a visit. A good site for dog owners. We only stayed one night because we were on a pick-up trip for our new camper so we will be back for a longer stay. Thanks to Olly and Jen.

Nice site. Toilets could have been better as kept running out of toilet rolls. However, I do appreciate the site was busy.
