Escape to Wigwam Holidays Ball Hall Farm, situated in the countryside just 20 minutes outside of York. Enjoy and unwind at a picturesque location, the 9 to 5 routine feels like a distant dream here. Stay in one of the luxury dog friendly pods overlooking the lake, each with its own ensuite, kitchenette and more. Toast marshmallows in the evening around your fire pit for some alfresco dining or unwind with a movie night in your heated pod.

If you are after tranquil peace then this is the place to go. The park is beautiful and set in the middle of the country side. Not too far from York if you wanted to travel in. Check in can be a little confusing as you need to drive round to find your name on the pod, but once you get it, it's a really nice touch. Remember to bring cash to get the logs for your fire pit, but you get so much it'll last a few nights. The pods are really lovely with everything you'd need. Pocklington isn't too far (although everything is closed on a Sunday), the nearest pub is also only 2.5 miles away, perfect in summer for a walk, but if it's dark you'd find it difficult to walk back so make sure your stacked up on beverages and if you want Sunday dinner all the local pubs stop serving at 4-4:30. It is truly a beautiful place, great location and would highly recommend - just added commentary helps you prepare for a wonderful stay!

Ball Hall Farm cabin was fantastic. All in a lovely setting around a small lake. Great woodland walk perfect for dog walking. The fire pit/bbq was an added bonus. Logs are available on site at a reasonable price. Cabin was ideal and very clean. Staff fab, very friendly and helpful. Only negative was the mattress wasn’t too comfy.

We stayed for a 2 night break and wished it could’ve been longer. The tranquil setting was just beautiful. We had some resident ducks every morning to greet us as we ate breakfast on the decking. The location was just right, a short drive to nearby villages with lovely pubs and a nearby park n ride to York. We will definitely return for another break.
