We only had the one night on site but it was superb, despite the Welsh weather - plenty of rain etc. Great popup kitchen for breakfast and a coffee. Great site, great team.

Great site. We were very grateful for a gravel pitch after the Easter mud bath! Fab site, very friendly. Spotless toilets and showers. Bacon butty and coffee van on site was an unexpected bonus and the Farmer's Arms, a short walk away, was absolutely fab for food and a pint.

The campsite was in a convenient location, except for the A479 road. Because I was in a roof top tent and pitched near the bottom of the campsite, right near the road, I was very bothered by the constant noise and thundering lorries going by, especially at 1am. Such a shame as it is a beautiful campsite, run by a very welcoming and lovely young couple who keep the place beautifully. So helpful and friendly. Lovely views as well from the campsite, with big pitches. I think if you're pitched further away from the A road and in a motorhome or campervan, it would be better. If it wasn't for the road, I would definitely be back. Having spoken with the person who runs it, they are planning on trying to cut down on the road noise. Apparently it never used to be so noisy until a decision was made by Highways to divert some traffic along this main trunk road.

I was disappointed to find pub closed on our first night, despite saying it was open. I think it's worth the campsite being more knowledgeable about opening times. Similarly, the pizza night advertised on the blackboard at the campsite wasn't up to date. This was disappointing when you plan your shopping and day around staying on site for a pizza. These issues wouldn't matter if the site was located to other evening eating options but there are no others within walking distance. Having said this, the staff were really friendly, the on-site shop was really useful, shower and toilet facilities were clean with consistent hot water. For driving to different sites, the location was very convenient.

Lovely green site with lots to do locally, including walks right from the campsite and a nearby castle to explore. Very good facilities, a well stocked shop and the coffee truck was a nice bonus. The staff here were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We really enjoyed our stay with campfires and stargazing. My only suggestion would be a requirement for other campers to have to keep their dogs on their own pitches to help those of us nervous around unfamiliar dogs that come rushing and barking towards you.

Friendly, helpful staff. Very clean facilities. Nearby road v. busy and road noise was a bit disturbing - we were near the bottom of the site and one field away from road. Good shop though.

We have really enjoyed our stay here. The unbelievably hot September weather was unpredicted and the original pitch was too hot for our two dogs. One is sick and the other elderly. The friendly staff bent over backwards to help. The facilities are clean and well maintained. They welcome raised BBQs and campfires. There's an onsite shop offering local goods and essentials. There is also a trailer selling coffee and pastries, and on a Friday evening they serve freshly made wood fired pizzas which are delicious. We would definitely recommend this site, and would definitely return here.

Excellent location, I was camping for 2 days in BikePark Wales. The campsite is around 40 min drive, so a bit far, however, the drive has amazing scenery so didn't bother me. The reason I gave 4 stars for the facilities was the shower ran hot & cold and didn't stay in between. Highly recommended campsite.

This campsite was a fantastic find. The location is a little tucked away but once there the views are outstanding. The site is extremely clean and they have everything you can think of in their little shop. Great for dogs and in the morning, they had a van turn up selling pastries. There is a local pub within walking distance but please note, they do not always serve food. However, the site owners are extremely helpful and gave us a number for the local Chinese takeaway who deliver. I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Great location for visiting the many interesting sights and venues in the Brecons. The site has some great views but for the not so fit be aware it is quite steep for dragging water and waste containers about. Grey waste water disposal was an issue as the new drain facility has been installed 120mm above ground so you can't empty a waste master tank, weighing approx. 35kg, into it without lifting it on to the drain surround. You might also spill it over the edge and your feet if you're not careful. Likewise, the fresh water tap we used was not high enough to fit a standard water barrel underneath for filling. We also thought the male showers needed finishing off properly. These minor issues would not stop us staying here again, the staff are very helpful and always friendly.

Stayed for one night in glorious sunshine. Facilities are excellent, with a spotless toilet and shower block, the best-stocked shop we've seen and coffee and pastries from a little van in the morning. The pitches are well-demarcated, and the whole site is very well-run. Lovely service from the lovely owner. Excellent value for money. Will definitely be back.
