Cwmdu Campsite, the perfect camping location in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park, with walks into the Beacons and Black Mountains on the doorstep. You will have a pub and cafe within a ten minute walk, and be just five minutes from the picturesque market town of Crickhowell and Greenman Festival, with Abergavenny 15 minutes away. Dogs are also welcome and fire pits are encouraged!

Wonderful site with amazing views. Staff were very welcoming and pleasant, and nothing is too much trouble for the people who run this site. Site facilities were spotless - even a warm tap to shower the muddy doggies! Fabulous walks and you can stop by the pub for a drink on the way back. Farmers Arms was very friendly, but found food fairly average. Will definitely be back to Cwmdu Campsite!

Definitely recommend for all. Especially if you're planning for trips to Black Mountain and Pen Y Fan for couple of days. Its a great location for both places. Very clean wash and shower area and clearly designated area for your camp.

Beautiful site, pitches are a good size. Owners/reception/staff are really Friendly and made sure everything was ok, due to a problem with the booking not going through. Good facilities and are very clean. It has lovely natural surroundings, with a huge field for children/field games. Will definitely return. The far field is next to the road, so some traffic noise.

This is my second stay and can't thank the team at Cwmdu enough! They are friendly helpful and can't do enough, nothing is too much trouble. I will certainly be coming again and can't recommend it highly enough.

The campsite was very clean and tidy. The welcome was first class and the pitch was as good. The only downside was the children that were not under control camping near us. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Had my first mini break in a shepherd's hut at this site and I would thoroughly recommend. It's only small, 2 adults max and maybe a cot, but it had all the glamping necessities. Kitchen area, including a fridge and a one pan induction hob, pull out double bed and ensuite with a warm shower! My Irish Terrier loved it too. The views from the hut on the decking were beautiful. The onsite shop was well stocked and staff were super friendly. Happy customers 😃

What more could you want? This was the last day of the season for Cwmdu but everyone was really friendly and welcoming and I will definitely be back next season for longer. Lovely pitches and surroundings, really well-kept but enough in the wilds to make it feel like an adventure.

A wonderful few days. Warm and friendly welcome. Great facilities where showers and toilets were very clean and working well. Pitch was fine with tremendous views of the hills on either side. Great walks ( free maps and good advice). And you have to eat at the Farmers Arms, just a ten minute walk.

Stayed during the October Half Term and had a very peaceful and quiet stay. Beautiful views from the site and the site was lovely, with clean and modern showers and toilets. We visited Pen Y Fan and Four Waterfalls from the site. All within a short drive. We visited The Farmers Arms, a short walk from the site and had a warm welcome and lovely meal. Wouldn't hesitate to book again.

This was a lovely little place to stay. Make sure you book pubs in advance as they get booked up very quickly. Also, internet service and phone reception isn't the best.

Cwmdu campsite is in a beautiful location with mountain views. The pitches are well kept and the showers and toilets spotless. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They gave us tips for walks and even lent us a map. Altogether, highly recommended.

We've been using campsites for over 30 years and this one is in the top five! Staff really helpful, even loaned us a can opener when ours broke :-) Mobile coverage on o2 and Vodafone is a bit sketchy (whilst on the site), but we found a couple of places that we could use to make calls. Getting the Freeview tuned in was difficult, but with the helpful advice from the wardens we got enough channels to keep us happy each evening. There is free Wi-Fi available, which gives good speed and coverage, try to avoid streaming live TV to be fair to other users. The site is spotless and has spectacular views, plenty of space for teenagers etc. We will be back to see more!

It was pretty empty as it was the first weekend in October but that suited us! Warm welcome by owner. The toilet block was very clean and showers were good. Was great that there was a fridge and freezer for use by campers and 3 x washing up sinks. Lovely setting. Would definitely stay again :-)

I chose this site purely because it was about 20 minutes from home and I figured I could cycle that. I was greeted on entrance and given my space. There was even an offer to reopen the shop which has closed for lunch. The site is spacious and spotlessly clean. There are a number of walks that you can launch from the site. When I go again I'll take a car though. The local pub closed Mon and Tue and the cafe Tue and Wed. Definitely a place to recommend.

From the moment we arrived, the camp staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. The site itself is in a beautiful spot, which just adds to it. Nothing was too much if any help was needed. There is the added bonus of a little shed with both BBQs and firepits to borrow if required with the on-site shop selling almost everything you'll need, including charcoal and logs. The washing machine and tumble dryer were extremely useful also. We will most definitely be returning.

We stayed for one night for my girlfriend's birthday and, despite the rain, we had such a lovely time. Emily helped us assemble our BBQ because we didn't have the right tools! We would definitely recommend this site, facilities were very clean and the staff were so helpful.
