Sykehouse, Goole, Yorkshire

+ 4 photos

Oakside Camping is a small, family-run campsite in the pretty village of Sykehouse. It's perfect for fishing, as it's directly opposite Sykehouse Fisheries and due to the woodland and wetlands around the area, an array of birds and wildlife visit the site. For cyclists there's the popular Transpennine trail which passes right by. Doncaster, Leeds, York, Sheffield and Selby are all within easy reach by car.

About Oakside Camping

Oakside Camping is an ideal relaxing base for those who enjoy the simple pleasures in life. The site is really private and secluded, and has a relaxed but well maintained feel to the place. Each generously sized grass pitch has its own picnic bench, and there are six electric hook ups available. Sorry, no dogs allowed.

Open from 1 April to 30 September

Facilities and amenities

Site facilities include a clean and modern amenity block with separate male and female facilities, alongside an indoor pot washing room with fridge freezer. There is also a small shop on site selling some basic essentials and treats (limited opening hours) and a small play area for under 12s to enjoy.

Bar meals available at The Old George pub in the village, while the pretty market town of Snaith is just a 10 minute drive and has everything you might need.
