About Glengoulandie Camping and Caravanning

This picturesque and secluded site offers breathtaking scenery while being close to many of Scotland's best attractions, just a few miles from the town of Aberfeldy and 17 miles from the famous Pitlochry. Ideal for those outdoor lovers and hikers, the site is conveniently located between the Cairngorms, Loch Lomond and Trossachs. The natural surroundings are everything here! It's nestled close to Glen Lyon - often described as the longest and best glen in Scotland and bordered by a deer park containing over 50 red deer. It's also in the shadows of Schiehallion, one of Scotland's most impressive mountains. There are ten spacious camping pitches available, suitable for tents. For tourers, you'll find 14 fully serviced hardstanding pitches, each with electric hook-up, water supply and drain. For those who prefer glamping, you'll find a quirky shepherd's hut with fantastic views of the hills and deer park. Sleeping up to two, the hut is fully insulated and includes electricity, water and a kitchen sink. Grab your morning coffee or treat yourself to a slice of cake from the cosy cafe on site. Complete with a wood-burning stove, it's great for those chilly mornings. Forgot the essentials? There's also a small shop too. Dogs are welcome but not in the shepherd's hut.

A note from the site themselves...

We are Fiona and Andy. We own and run Glengoulandie Camping Caravanning and live in the cottage on the site. We have been fanatical tourers since 2007 and our style and personal touches reflect an amalgamation of all the good things we have liked about the hundreds of sites we have visited - as well as bringing a few unique features of our own.

We have a hands-on approach and take pride in the site - ensuring a homely but professional feel. We have an eco-friendly ethos and encourage visitors to recycle as much waste as humanly possible. The site operates a bio-waste sewage system. We are extremely laid back and easy-going and will do anything we can to ensure you enjoy your stay and have all your needs catered for.

My 7 year old says, 'This campsite is amazing! I love the deer and the chickens, and it was an amazing café!' We booked last minute and got a lovely welcome when we arrived. Facilities are excellent and everything was super clean. The red deer were a hit with our kids, as were the roaming chickens. Fiona and Andy are lovely, and honestly we couldn't find fault with anything. Highly recommended!

The facilities were very good and clean. Lots of things to do in the area, so location was perfect for us. I also thought the price was very good. We had a big tent and we weren't charged more for it. Owners couldn't be any nicer or more accommodating. They kept my daughter's medicine in their own fridge. They really went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. You couldn't really ask for more. I would highly recommend Fiona and Andy. Thanks!

Half way through our stay at Glengoulandie. Beautiful location. The site is very quiet and is well kept. Surrounded by rolling hills. There is an adjacent field containing red deer. The site mainly contains static vans, however there is a small field for campers and some hard standing pitches for caravans/ motorhomes. Phone reception is good. You can access the hills from just across the road from the campsite which is excellent for walking dogs. Toilets and showers are very clean. Shop sells basics and the cafe sells tea/ coffee/ cake. No midges. Fiona and Andy are very welcoming. Highly recommend the site.
