Loved our stay at Carreg y Gwynt. The facilities are great - especially loved the toilet made out of two IBC's. The view is spectacular and the family are lovely. We especially loved Nel the dog who wanted to come away with us! We were especially grateful that we could stay as it was a very last minute booking. Thank you very much Overall great location and easy to find.

Motorhome - Non Electric Grass Touring PitchesAug 2022

Peaceful spot, with plenty of room to park up and a beautiful beach nearby. The walk to the beach is approximately 10 minutes down a cliff side and hill climb back. Would suggest maybe a play area for children.

Amazing site!

Lovely location with amazing views of the coast and it is the perfect place to watch the sunrise and sunset! The campsite gives a 'wild camping' vibe with limited facilities. The owners were really friendly and helpful. We will 100% be returning again.

Perfect!

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring PitchesAug 2022

If you like to keep things simple - this is the site for you, with fantastic views of the sea and surrounded by fields and cows. Ceris and Carwyn are really lovely. It is not for you if you like a site with facilities. For us, and others with the same desire to enjoy simplicity, it's just perfect. Thank you!

Amazing views, lovely beach

Fantastic views across Cardigan Bay to the north of Wales, and also inland. A relatively short walk down to a beautiful and quiet beach.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring PitchesAug 2022

Wild camping at it's best with spacious pitches that would suit individuals to larger family groups. Carwyn and his family are warm and friendly hosts and made us feel very welcome. There are stunning sea views, breath-taking sunsets & sunrises - and at night a plethora of stars, planets & galaxies to gaze at. You need to be mostly self contained as there is just one portaloo on the site - but this has a proper flushing toilet and is kept clean and stocked up. We had a peaceful, restorative time with intermittent visits from friendly farm dogs & beady eyed Red Kites. Can't wait to visit again - thank you so much!

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring PitchesAug 2022

Amazing views of the sea in a very peaceful location on a farm, surrounded by fields and cows. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. The facilities are basic, but if all you need is a toilet (very clean) and a tap, then it's a fabulous place to stay. We've recommended it to friends already and we will be returning.

Stayed with my wife and son in our campervan. So lovely to see a quiet campsite amongst all the crowded sites. Very chatty and friendly host. The best thing about this campsite is the sea view, and a 2 mile walk to a virtually private beach through lovely trees and the Welsh countryside. Wish this could be kept a secret but I'm sure it will get very popular.

Perfect peaceful site

Cerys & Carwyn were perfect hosts on this beautiful working dairy farm. The views out to sea with Snowdonia in the distance are breath-taking. The field is well kept & facilities are clean and well maintained. Short walk to beach and 5 min drive to Newquay. We will be coming back on our next holiday. Excellent site for curious children & well behaved dogs

A hidden gem

We first found this hidden gem last year by chance on a last minute camping break. When we arrived here, we met Ceris, who gave us a great reception. The stay was short which meant we had to come back this year, and we certainly weren't disappointed. The site is attached to a working dairy farm, however this certainly doesn't distract you from your stay. The field for camping has a drinking water tap at either end of the field. Near the main gate is also a portaloo and a chemical toilet disposal point. The site also has an area for recycling. The field is well maintained, and of a good size, with good level surfaces. There is also the view of Cardigan Bay which is beautiful in the summer. The site is a great spot for all. Nearby you have a beautiful secluded beach with very few people (in 3 hours we saw maybe 20/25 people if that). It also serves as a great base point for the middle of the Welsh coast line. There are also some amazing walks nearby. Even though you are surrounded by nature, there are ample shops all within 10min driving distance. Lastly our hosts, Carwyn and Ceris are friendly and always about to help should you need a little advice on what's nearby or should you need any help. As a family of 3 (our boy being 7), we had a wonderful camping experience and will be returning again.
