Welcome to Little Lane Campsite (previously known as Torver Pop Up Campsite), located down a single track road in a secluded field in the small hamlet of Torver, near Coniston. This quiet site is situated in the heart of the Lake District with views of the surrounding rolling hills and a glimpse of Coniston Old Man! The back to basics site is surrounded by sheep and other wildlife, making this a campsite on the wild side!

About Little Lane Campsite
If you are looking for a remote camping holiday in the Lake District then Little Lane Campsite could be perfect for you. With walks leading from the site and local attractions nearby, you'll find a range of activities in easy reach from the comfort of a secluded area. The site is back to basics with grassed pitches suited to tents only, catering for small and medium tents (the largest tent being a four man tent). There's no need to check in, just park your car in the parking area and choose your pitch in the field. There is parking on site for one car per tent and additional cars can be booked if spaces are available. Your four legged friend is welcome here too.
This site is open from the 25th of July until the 5th of August and will then reopen from the 22nd of august until the 4th of September.
Portable loos are available onsite (cleaned daily) - campers are asked to please bring their own toilet roll.
Fresh water is provided at the water station on site, each pitch is provided with a water container and can take this to their pitch or use from the water station. The team will top up empties daily to ensure you always have enough clean water!
The site is set a short 5-10 minute walk to the local pub, The Wilsons Arms, which also has a small deli attached for essentials. The nearby village of Coniston is only a 5-10 minute drive away with more shops, cafes and pubs.

Lovely small campsite, very basic, but it is what it is. Staff were helpful & would go back again for short break (there are no shower facilities, so not suited for a long stay).

I don't know if I can say much as I only stayed one night but honestly it was so nice - got a great view and it's really simple which I found amazing! You can just get set up without any hassle checking in. And you've got an absolutely cute village with everything you could ask for personally we got fish and chips but there's a lot of options. If you're looking for something cheap and simple I couldn't recommend this enough. To top it off it's very remote so you don't get any disturbance apart from sheep.
