Located in the heart of the Peak District above the picturesque dale of the River Dove, these traditional shepherd's huts for two are a great way to relax and unwind. Footpaths and trails head off in all directions, making the farm an ideal base for exploring the surrounding countryside. Close to many tourist attractions, with Alton Towers, Chatsworth House, and Ashbourne and Bakewell's market towns all within a 30 minute drive.

What a joy to share Linda and Tom's piece of paradise! Their hospitality adds a good measure of local friendliness. In the enchanting silence of a moonlit night, the pastures breathe restoration. My daughter joined me and we could not spend a better day together elsewhere. The lovely landscape is laced with hiking trails and cycling paths. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

We stayed for 4 nights and could have stayed longer. The hut was so cosy, clean and well equipped, the perfect base to explore the Peak District. The Tissington trail is just over the road with many more walks accessible by foot or short car journey. Tim and Linda had prepared everything perfectly and the breakfast hamper was a lovely touch, a great way to start the day. The shower and toilet facilities were great, clean and private. There is also a fridge and washing up area. We had such a great stay and I keep thinking about the comfy bed and crackling fire now I'm back home! Would really really recommend.

Idyllic Shepherd's Hut with all the amenities you need. Delicious breakfast served in a basket to the door in the mornings. Great location with fantastic walks straight from the farm. Would have liked Wi-Fi to research and book a pub meal but other than that an excellent stay.

Thank you for your positive feedback and lovely comments regarding our shepherd huts, breakfast hampers and walks from the doorstep. Living in a rural area as we do, unfortunately our phone signal and home broadband don't always provide us with the best reception. It also depends on your phone provider how effective the signal is. However, we are always happy to help guests if they need any additional information that they are not able to access themselves.

Just home from a lovely stay in Lily with my dog Buster. The hut is perfect for a couple of nights of peace. The toilets and showers clean and adequate. Use of a fridge and washing up sink. The bed was super comfy and the hut cosy. No negatives. We loved it.

What a beautiful, idyllic and peaceful place!! Linda and Tim were perfect hosts! Extremely welcoming and attentive. The setting is beautiful and the shepherd huts were second to none. Waking up to beautiful sunshine and bird song what more could you ask for, sitting on the porch in the morning with our cup of tea and coffee, returning to the real world seemed a lifetime away....we will certainly return!!!

We had a lovely 2 night stay in the peaceful countryside on a beautiful farm at New Hanson. Our hosts were so friendly when we arrived and the shepherd's hut was cosy and had everything we needed for our stay. We loved the fire pit and BBQ and as we live in the city it was great to huddle round the fire at night and play cards. The country walks all around the huts are stunning and lots of little villages nearby to visit. Our dogs loved running about in the big garden surrounding the huts and it was nice to be able to have them stay with us for the night. Would highly recommend staying here!

This was our 2nd stay in the Shepherds Hut, Lily. Linda is such a warm and welcoming host. We chose here because of its location, and the peace and quiet. We got a break from the noise and technology of day to day. As there are only two huts in a contained area and only one allows dogs, we could relax knowing we were not going to be approached by other dogs, we didn't need to worry about our 11 year old dog who is reactive. You have all the basics in the hut, pots, pans, a little stove, kettle for cups of tea and little meals. For proper meals we visited 2 local pub restaurants, The Jug and Glass in Hartington, and The Bowling Green in Ashbourne. If you enjoy a good steak then The Bowling Green is the place to go. There are lots of local walks right on your doorstep or you can drive further afield like we did to Buxton for a walk in the country park. We really enjoyed our second stay here, and will be back again in the not so distant future.

You couldn't ask for a more peaceful retreat from a mad world, just the sounds of birds, lambs & bees! Linda & Tim are fantastic hosts (breakfast hamper highly recommended!). The hut was spotless, cosy & comfortable. Shower facilities also spotless with piping hot water. A real gem 🥰

We stayed in the Lily Shepherd's hut with our little doggie. We had an amazing week away, the hut was really well equipped with everything need for our stay. The facilities were great and always very clean. The service from the owners was lovely, they showed us everything when we arrived. There are some amazing walks to go on, we drove to Milldale then walked all the way to Dovedale on the path next to the river. It took us about a hour - great views and a few cool caves on route. These huts are lovely so quiet and cosy, perfect little get away place. Thanks again, from Sam, Hollie and Winnie🐾
