Lovely, simple, rural site

The site was located along a very quiet lane in the beautiful Dorset countryside, so it was perfect for a quiet getaway. We walked to Cerne Abbas and Minterne Magna from the site as there were plenty of footpaths and bridleways. One of our team was a backpacker and they were able to come by train from the nearby station of Chetnole which was very handy. The shower was clean, hot and had good flow. The porta-toilets were clean and functional. The ground was good for camping and the large field meant there was loads of space between pitches. We especially liked that we could have 2 tents (one medium, one small) for 3 adults without paying big premiums. We rented a fire pit with logs and a BBQ which the owner brought up to us, which was a massive bonus, as we loved getting this opportunity to sit around a camp fire again! Only issue we would have is that there were no basins to wash your hands or do washing up, therefore bring a bucket/washing-up bowl!

Excellent, back-to-basics campsite

Excellent back-to-basics campsite. We had a great stay - a warm welcome from the farmer and very helpful. The shower and toilets were perfect for staying in a field. We had bad weather and the farmer said most people had cancelled, but we braved it out and the hot shower was a welcoming bonus.

Cheap stay with all the necessary amenities

Had a really good stay, the campsite is a great size with a toilet, sink and shower. Was easy to get to and had a great view from the campsite. Check in was also really easy.

Peaceful, stunning campsite

My partner and I camped here for two nights at the start of August 2022. The campsite is in a stunning location. The views were beautiful and the sunsets were phenomenal. At night, you could see the stars so clearly; it was breath-taking. The shower exceeded our expectations. It was hot and had a strong water flow. We always felt refreshed afterwards. Both the shower and the toilets are kept very clean, with the owners coming at least twice a day (once in the morning and once at night) to clean the facilities. There were even air-fresheners in the toilets, which we thought was a nice touch. There were four other tents on the campsite on the first night and three on the second. The people on the sight included families, friends and couples. It was exactly what we were after, as we were hoping for a quiet, relaxing break. The site is roughly 30 minutes away from the coast by car. The owners were very friendly and allowed the children on site to feed the sheep with them on Sunday morning. They also let the children sit on their tractor, which they loved. They also let me sit on it for a picture! It was a nice touch. We honestly cannot recommend this site enough!

Excellent stay, wonderful hosts

Such a beautiful location, quiet and undisturbed. Facilities were perfectly clean. Plenty of local information and supplies from the very attentive hosts! We had a very peaceful and glorious stay. Wild camping with a hot shower!

Quaint little campsite

Lovely place to camp.

Pure peaceful bliss

New Court Farm really is the perfect peaceful rural escape, nestled amongst farmland in the rolling Dorset hills. There is plenty of space with more than 6 metres between pitches, and it is just so quiet It is the perfect place to escape, read a book, and watch the birds circling above. The site has all the facilities you really need (toilets and a shower) and none of the ones you don't really need. If you want to get away from it all, and avoid the crowds and hustle and bustle of busy campsites in summer, then this really is the perfect spot.

Perfect

Absolutely beautiful. So simple set in the most lovely rural location. The site team were welcoming and helped us out with recommendations for local cider and farm shops. We tried their own meat reared burgers which were delicious. The field was perfectly basic with clean loos and a brand new shower shed.. lovely hot water gave a great start to each day with stunning hilly views all around. We took advantage of nearby nature walks and the short drive to Weymouth and Dorchester. Arrived home feeling very happy with our holiday at New Court Farm Camping. Hope to go back next year.
