We have stayed here twice now and it has been perfect both times. They are welcoming and provide a high quality shepherds hut but also you are left alone to enjoy your stay. I have a stressful job and coming here helps me de-stress and feel calm, relaxed and recharged.

Had the most amazing stay in our camper van in this isolated valley, sharing our field with the ponies. A peaceful, tranquil place to recharge but also convenient for Canterbury, Rye, Hythe, Deal and Folkestone, all great places to visit. Thank you Hannah for creating such a fantastic location to stay.

We stayed in the Valley Shepherd's Hut. Lovely little place. Had everything you needed for a get away from it all break. Nice to get our luggage delivered to the door by Hannah 😀 Very clean and a comfy bed.

We had a very enjoyable and relaxing weekend at the retreat. The shepherd's hut was super clean, well-equipped and cosy (lots of rain and wind during our stay). Our hosts were great and very helpful. Goat walking was an added bonus. Look forward to another stay in the near future.

Stayed for a short break at the Wildwoodland Retreat. We have stayed in a shepherd's hut before so know what to expect of the accommodation. Only downside compared to where we have stayed previously was the composting toilet (previous huts have had flushing toilets). Location was great (apart from the very narrow roads to get there) but was surprised by the lack of wildlife we saw (obviously this is not controlled by the owners). All in all, it is a very quiet and relaxing place to stay. And was good value. Would we stay again, probably not, but this is partly down to the distance we had to travel (we're not far from the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales).

This is without doubt the best shepherds hut I have ever stayed at. It was well looked after and set up, we had everything we needed. A log burner kept it cosy at night and there was also a fire pit. There is an oven, fridge, running water, shower and toilet. The bed is comfy and the location was is amazing. Not over looked by any one, we sat on the swing and watched the sunset, listened to the birds and watched the hares. Truly wonderful, we will be back and highly recommend it.

The shepherd's hut retreat was absolutely perfect. It is a great retreat for time by yourself, especially if you're looking for the peace and quiet. The walks were beautiful, the hut was cosy and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely recommend it to everyone I know and will definitely be going back next year.

We had a wonderful stay in the shepherds hut up on the hill. Stunning views with the most beautiful hut to stay in. It had everything you need to cook sleep and relax in an amazingly comfortable bed. The peace and quiet helps you get off to sleep and lay in all morning if you want. We took our small dog Ringo who loved the freedom to explore and also enjoyed the walks. A lovely local village via a beautiful country walk with 3 pubs, a village shop & tea rooms is the perfect way to spend a morning or afternoon. My wife and I loved staying here and are planning our next stay soon.

Great place to get away from it all. It served as a good base from which to venture to local beaches and towns. The lady who runs it was really friendly and offered some local tips. Also, the eggs they sold were delicious. Lots of tree swings, which the kids loved.

Staying in a Shepherd's Hut was on my wish list and this didn't disappoint. Beautiful location with wonderful walks! The only downside for us was that it rained a lot over the four days. We would suggest to the owners to maybe consider putting a wind awning on the hut to provide a sheltered outside dining space.
