A note from the site themselves...
We highly recommend seeing sunrise and dawn - it is spectacular. We highly recommend a visit to Seahouses for traditional fish and chips, and specialities such as local oysters. The walk from the farm to the sea is also a true highlight.
Safari tents with a spacious living room, fully equipped kitchen, a double bedroom, a cupboard bed and a bunk bed with a private ensuite shower room. There is also an outside area with seating.
Holly and Hannah were the most attentive, personable hosts. They explained everything to us on our arrival and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best stay possible - this included researching swimming locations and making a delicious birthday cake for my son for his birthday.
The tents had everything we needed and more, the comfortable, toasty beds and towels were spotlessly clean and the stove easy to use with a readily available stock of logs. Take only wellies and slippers as its extremely muddy, but that's to be expected.
The Lodge had lots of oil lanterns and candles, however a torch is essential and, although we didn't have them, hot water bottles would have been useful to warm the children's beds before they got in them. The location of the tents was perfect, providing an incredible base for exploring a huge array of amazing activities fir our 5 and 7/8 year old.
We will definitely return.

Safari Tent - En-Suite Canvas LodgesSep 2023
Having spent 1 week at Northumberland Farm - I can say it was utterly fantastic; and exactly what we needed.
With 3 young children (7, 5 & 3) there was some uncertainty during planning if they would like it, (especially when their first question was "can we take our tablets to play on?). However, from the second we arrived, all that was forgotten and they loved it.
Our host (Claire) met us on arrival and was very helpful and friendly; explaining the honesty shop, the site layout, the daily firewood supply etc; and invited us to a pizza night at the site's pizza oven.
The accommodation was immaculate (accounting for its deliberate rustic nature); and once again, was an instant hit with the children, who were fascinated by the candle lights and woodburning stove etc.
The location is superb, you are within 5 mins of Seahouses town, where you can access shops, a beach, and takeaways etc. And there are multiple other places of interest within 25 mins too. We did Bamburgh Castle, Alnwick Castle, Dunstanburgh Castle - along with about 4 beaches. Plus other local attractions such as Lindisfarne Island.
Every evening was spent around the fire, chatting and toasting marshmallows while the stars came out under a perfectly clear sky. That for me was the highlight.
All in all, a massive success, we were all sad to leave, and are already talking about booking a visit.
Thank you to Northumberland Farm for accommodating us, and to Campsites.co.uk for the booking.
