Vegan adult only glamping set within its own natural and peaceful meadow, Sunrise Eco Glamping is behind its very own plant centre and coffee shop and is the product of everything the site loves - the environment, tranquillity, comfort and kindness. Enjoy a great value glamping break in one of four fully furnished Lotus Stargazer Belle tents, complete with a wood-burning stove inside and set a short drive away to Gainsborough and Retford.
Spacious bell tents with comfy beds, wood burning stoves and transparent roofs for stargazing
Great facilities including an outdoor kitchen, warm showers, onsite coffee shop and craft shop
A small eco glamp site with welcoming hosts, designed for guests to unwind and get back to nature
With just a handful of pitches, you can be sure of a relaxing stay away from the crowds - the small herd of alpacas onsite will keep a watchful eye too! The nearest town, Gainsborough, is just three miles away, Retford is seven miles away, plus Lincoln (the cathedral is must!) is just 16 miles away and Clumber Park or Sherwood Forest 30 minute drive. Choose one of the 4 Stargazer Lotus Belle glamping tents (or bring your own for some good old fashioned off grid camping), each furnished with proper beds (a mixture of doubles and singles), duvets and linens (towels and robes can be pre-booked too). You have your own private toilet (for glampers) or use of the garden centre toilet (for campers) and the hot showers here are designed with style and economy in mind. We are an adults only vegan site. Each glamping bell tent is cocoon lined for extra comfort, with a wood burning stove inside and your own fire pit located outside. The Grill and Chill Shack is where you'll find an additional kitchen area for hot water washing up, a fridge and freezer, plus an induction hob. Breakfast from our coffee shop is included in your glamping stay. Campers are most welcome in the coffee shop too. Decked out with fairy lights and built in an industrial style, with lots of worktop, the Grill and Chill shack is a great space to use and meet other guests and is for sole use of our glamping guests. Our camping guests bring everything they need. The site is 100% vegan (no meat, dairy, or fish is permitted onsite), for over 16's only and are proud members of The Greener Camping Club. Membership is required and is an easy sign up. For every booking, the site plant a tree too so here's to net zero!
Open from 28 April to 3 October
Spacious and private grass camping pitches to put up your own tent. All pitches are totally off grid so be sure to bring all you need for your stay.

Where to start!
Take a trip to one of Nottingham's most famous attractions, Sherwood Forest just over 30 mins by car. Right next to the little town of Edwinstowe (check out Fables coffee shop) you can easily spend a few hours in the forest among all the mahoosive oak trees. Known for its role in the legend of Robin Hood, explore the acres of lush greenery here, and make time to visit the Major Oak.
Lincoln! Wow - you have to go into the cathedral, it rivals The Duomo of Milan and the Sagrada Familia of Barcelona by a country mile. It's truly breathtaking. Right next to Steep Hill (hard to understand how it got that name actually) the whole area around the cathedral is a labyrinth of shops, bars and coffee shops.
On the way back from Lincoln you could meander the five acre garden at Doddington Hall - it makes for a pleasant picnic spot and the estate itself also has a cafe and restaurant. The cycle shop is great for enthusiasts and the coffee shop here does great vegan options.
The digital guide book (sent to you just after you book) contains a whole lot more information to help you get the most out of your stay.
Other attractions include:
But - here's much to be said for going for a good walk. You won't find hoards of crowds on the same walks as this isn't a tourist hot spot. You could walk for an hour along the River Trent path and hardly see any one!
Going from the doorstep, a short walk along the main road, and then down into Bole, you can walk for hours along the river and through the nature lands. Alternatively, there are some super walks around Beckingham. All are detailed in the digital guest book designed to help you make the most of your stay.
