Wigwam Holidays Montrave Estate is set on a charming 250-acre woodland estate in Fife, offering family and pet friendly glamping surrounded by nature. There are eight ensuite Wigwam pods available all year round, equipped with comfy beds and kitchenettes inside and fire pits and picnic benches outside. The site is perfect for relaxing with hot tubs and outdoor baths available, plus plenty of woodland walks to meet the Highland cows and red deer!

About Wigwam Holidays Montrave Estate
Set on the lawns of the original Montrave House, these Wigwam pods are surrounded by long established trees and lush woodlands waiting to be explored! Just ten minutes from Leven and the coast, a perfect spot for unwinding. There are eight wooden Wigwam pods available, each with electricity, heating and hot water. All have ensuite shower rooms with a toilet, shower, sink and heated towel rail. Each also has a kitchenette equipped with an electric hob, pans, a kettle, a fridge, toaster, cutlery and crockery. There is also a small TV and indoor dining area for guests. Most of the pods sleep up to four with a double bed and one double sofa bed with memory foam mattresses. Ambon pod has an access ramp suitable for wheelchairs and sleeps up to five with a single bed, two double sofa beds, and a larger ensuite. Bedding and towels are not provided, they can be added as a bookable extra. Timor pod sleeps up to five with a separate bedroom, equipped with a double bed, a double sofa bed and one single bed. Timor and Sumbawa pods also have an outdoor wood-fired Swedish bath. Two of the pods (Lombok and Sumatra) also benefit from their own wood fired hot tubs which can be heated for your arrival. Or hire the mobile hot tub for your stay. Outside each of the pods is a fire pit with a BBQ rack and a picnic bench, great for al fresco dining under the stars. The Montrave Estate offers you the chance to wander the countryside and meet the highland cows and the herd of red deer. There is a communal barn perfect for group evenings enjoying a freshly made pizza from the pizza oven, a game of table tennis or a night sat around the communal BBQ. The fishing villages of East Neuk are within a 30 minute drive and St Andrews is within 20 minutes if you wish to explore the area. Dogs are welcome on the site, just be sure to select a pet-friendly pod when booking. Montrave Estate also hosts a dog running event every year in October on some of the walking paths. Please note, that pizza is only available during Summer on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Wigwam Holidays Montrave Estate is open all year round in 2024 and from 01/01 to 31/08 in 2025.
All of the Wigwam pods have electricity, heating, hot water and ensuite bathrooms with a shower, toilet and heated towel rail. Each also has a kitchenette with a toaster, microwave, pans, sink, kettle, cutlery, crockery and utensils and an electric two-hotplate hob. Washing up liquid, a sponge and tea towels are also provided. Please bring your own bedding and towels, or hire them as an extra.
Outside each pod is a fire pit with a BBQ rack and picnic bench, some of the pods also have hot tubs on the decking, Sumbawa and Tior pods have a wood fired outdoor Swedish bath. Ambon Wigwam cabin is suitable for wheelchair access with a ramp and large ensuite. There is also a communal BBQ area and a communal barn with a pizza oven and table tennis.
Campfire starter packs including logs can be purchased onsite.
The closest pub is The Railway Inn, a ten minute drive from site, and for picking up the essentials there are a selection of convenience stores in Leven, a ten minute drive away.

Things to do on site and in the Leven area
There is plenty to keep you busy whilst onsite including walking and cycling trails around the woodland Estate. For some games there is table tennis in the communal barn, football goal posts on the field as well as other lawn games like archery and badminton. There are also hammocks and tree swings around the estate too.
For evening entertainment, there is a pizza oven and a communal BBQ for everyone to enjoy. Be sure to meet the herd of red deer and the highland cows around the site, and spot other neighbouring wildlife!
For a day at the beach, Lower Largo is a ten minute drive away and offers sandy shores and a charming fishing village to explore. For more quaint villages, East Neuk of Fife is a 30 minute drive from site and is well known for its picturesque coastal villages, seafood and the friendly locals.
Head 20 minutes North for St Andrews, a city buzzing with culture and some fantastic golf courses!
