Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2023

Our stay at Wigwams was facilitated, the owner was very hands on which meant repairing and cleaning constantly. He was very approachable and made sure we felt safe during our stay. We were always given updates on the weather so that we could be prepared for the night and so our car was parked safely. The owner was always up for a joke. We were reminded that we could use all facilities even though we were happy cooking on our own gas stove. The washing machine and dryer are good value for money and handy therefore, during our road trip it was convenient. Showers were £1, low pressure but warm. Free Wi-Fi was available but sometimes was down due to weather conditions - the owner fixed this when made aware of it. Location is in the middle of nowhere, but very convenient for the West Highland Way walkers and those who would like to explore local natural beauties. There is a local shop (The green Welly) that has toilets, petrol, self laundry service and café which is handy when needing supplies - about 5 min drive from camp.

Lovely campsite with stunning views

We had a lovely three day stay at this campsite. It's really well placed to explore Loch Lomond, Glencoe and other attractions. The camping field is in a stunning location and has firepits so you can have a fire at night. The campsite has a well stocked shop which sells food and firewood.

Pod - Large Wigwam Pods (Pet Friendly)Aug 2023

Very friendly and helpful staff, clean and spacious pod. Great access to local walks, waterfall, St Fillans priory and site nature trail. It was a shame the gems and gold panning was not operating. Camp kitchen could do with more crockery to go round all the pods & tents without their own kitchen.

Great views!

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesJul 2023

We were lucky enough to see the amazing views in the sunshine on the first night. The camping field is a 'pitch where you like' set up so has a lovely freeing feel to it. It rained heavily from about 8pm on the first night and despite this the toilets and showers were always clean and tidy. There's a wee kitchen/dining room which was a godsend given the rain as it had a hob and washing up facilities. We also put a blanket in the washing machine to spin. Staff were really jovial and friendly. We will definitely be back!

A bit 'tired'

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesJul 2023

We did enjoy our couple of nights at this excellent location and great views, but the facilities are in need of some improvements. Despite paying £1 for a shower there was no hot water, there were several dripping/running taps and some toilets had faulty locks. A coat of paint wouldn't come amiss and the grass could have done with a cut.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2022

Booked for the position, wanted to get up some of the local mountains. Field is spacious and generally we didn't have any neighbours close by. Shower/ toilets very decent. Shop onsite. Monday afternoon, we came back to dozens of sheep corralled into the track which runs alongside the campsite. Thinking someone would come move them we did nothing - no one came - cue the noisiest most disturbed nights sleep ever. It looked like the older ewes had been separated from their mature lambs (I'm no expert). The following morning the farm workers had them up at the barn. We have booked for further nights here (booked before sheepgate) and tonight is going to be another noisy one. I get it's a farm, I'm from a rural area and I totally expected some "baa" sounds, but when there's no obvious reason for them to be penned in 10 feet from my tent, I find that more than a little inconsiderate. That said, if the sheep were not baaing right now (10pm) I'd definitely come here again. The first 3 nights were very quiet. So whatever's going on with the livestock is probably just bad timing on my behalf - but I'm sure I'm not the only one to have struggled to sleep last night.

The site is a must to visit. We absolutely loved it. The views are stunning and the whole place is magical and peaceful. I did experience a slightly grumpy welcome (he cited being overworked and tired as no one else wants to work there), but I would say brush it off and don't avoid a place like this just because of someone you will only meet when you arrive! :)

Nice place in the middle of walkers routes. It is quite busy at the reception, however quiet in the pods.

We enjoyed staying for 3 nights in the wigwams. The manager changed us from a tent to a wigwam because it was rainy.

The site is on an isolated farm and is well located for walking, relatively well equipped and very competitively priced. The facilities are, however, rather old and would benefit from refurbishment. However, this did not prevent us from having an enjoyable stay. The staff were friendly and helpful.

My and my friend stayed here for one night after doing some hillwalking. We had pre booked, arrived and settled without any hassle. The campsite is cosy and very clean facilities! Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesApr 2022

The site is well situated for walkers and in a beautiful setting, the grass is well maintained. Unfortunately, the firepits on the site had beer cans and rubbish in them. It is a working farm so very noisy in the morning with farm machinery - no opportunity for a long lie in with the sound of farm vehicles passing and trailers banging on the bumpy road. The road in has some massive pot holes which was an issue for us getting in. There was also scrap (a washing machine and fridge freezer) as soon as you drove into the site just sitting in the car park. As I say, the site is well situated but could really do with some TLC.
