Great Haywood Canalside Campsite is a rural, laidback site with beautiful canalside camping on the edge of Cannock Chase. All of the pitches are non electric with grass for tents and hardstanding for campervans. Set opposite an award-winning farm shop/café, there are lovely walks beside the water and welcoming pubs within a ten minute walk too. The site is peaceful and picturesque, with dogs more than welcome.

Lovely, little campsite and it's situated by the canal with a farm shop and café across the road. The barge market is brilliant, you can even buy beer and takeaway pizza and jacket tatties. The owner was friendly and let us pitch up early, will be seeing if we can book this weekend, weather permitting. Highly recommend this little place.

This is a fantastic, small site in a beautiful location. If you're a low maintenance camper and are happy with no frills, a great location and the basics then this is perfect. Good pub nearby, breakfast at the Canalside Café is highly recommended. We took a kayak and did a loop of the canal and River Sow, which was great fun.

Did a one night stop over. Basic facilities such as water and toilet. Choose your own pitch area so a perfect location right by the water for us. Grass a bit tufty and uneven but manageable. Lovely walk down the canal and over Shugborough and then to nearby pub.

A small, basic campsite yet exactly what I wanted for the night. Peaceful and not busy, I had a great night's rest. I was met at the gate by the site warden, given a quick briefing and told where I could set up. An ideal location for anyone wanting a basic, peaceful, waterside campsite. The only reason I've scored down the facilities stars is that the site is so basic, but the facilities that were there (taps, bins and portaloos) were clean and more than adequate. Will definitely be staying again when back in the area.

Lovely place to stay and would be an ideal permanent site rather than just seasonal with portaloos. Portaloos are my least favourite thing anytime but they were being kept clean by the guy based onsite who was welcoming. Right next to canal junction which provided hours of chill-out and daydreaming watching the narrowboats.

Had a brilliant, relaxed time. No noise, flat pitches and decent, although basic toilets. Good water supply and brilliant local deli and pubs. Really enjoyed our group weekend. Will use again.

Definitely will be returning to this campsite. Me and the family really enjoyed it, with the fishing on site and also the surroundings, owner was very welcoming and any issues was sure to sort them out. Also, brilliant that you could rent a fire pit and also buy wood.

A great location! Right on the waterside. Great for groups or individuals. Fire pits to rent and wood to purchase which was a great addition Portaloos were clean and had a constant supply of consumables. The farm shop and cafe are just across the road and are wonderful! Great food and local produce! The pub is 4 minute walk away which is great too! The local social club is open to non-members and has music on a weekend! Yes there is no shower- but for a couple of nights, it wasn't a problem! Don't let that put you off!! We loved it!
