Aysgarth Falls Hotel and Campsite

There's lots to do if you stay in Aysgarth! Very obviously, there's the lovely Aysgarth Falls - a set of three different waterfalls, along the River Ure. The upper falls, where long ago, Kevin Costner filmed Robin Hood, Prince of Theives is actually at the bottom of the site's land.

Whilst in Aysgarth, why not have a stroll up to the small, but perfectly formed, Edwardian Rock Garden. Privately owned and there is a donations box in the wall which helps with its upkeep.

Or, take a trip to Bolton Castle, built in the 14th century, and well worth a visit. Just 4.5 miles away.

Visit the Wensleydale Creamery, the Dales Museum, Stage 1 Cycles (for bike hire or repair), the Ropemakers and all the lovely little shops and cafes in the popular town of Hawes, just 9 miles away.

Or try Leyburn with a chocolate factory, teapot shop, Tennants Auction House and much more including independent shops, pubs and tea rooms - why not try them all? Approximately 8 miles away.

There's also Richmond about 16 miles away - a lovely place to while away a few hours, with its own castle and market square.
