Located in the picturesque High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this off-grid, traditional campsite provides an idyllic base for exploring Sussex. With the neighbouring Bluebell railway, you may even be able to sit back and hear the whistle of the vintage steam trains as they chug past. The site has 30 non electric grass pitches in total, each welcoming tents and VW campervans. Each pitch comes with its own fire pit, so make sure you don't forget the marshmallows. The site also looks to allocate pitches so everyone is with like-minded campers, including there being a specific adult-friendly section. Though the site is nestled away in the countryside, you will still be within easy reach of plenty of attractions, along with great transport links to London in nearby Haywards Heath (10 minutes). For days out at the beach, the quirky city of Brighton is also just 40 minutes away. Four-legged friends are also welcome onsite so don't forget to pack the treats!
The site is open for weekends from 14th July until 10th September.

When staying here, a trip on the neighbouring Bluebell Railway is a must. The Horsted Keynes Station can be found just a ten minute walk away where you can hop on one of the vintage locomotives and take a journey through the rolling hills and scenic countryside of Sussex.
Wakehurst country estate can be found just a ten minute drive away. The popular wild botanic gardens showcase a huge range of plant life and flowers, great for dog walks and adventures with the kids.
For a spot of shopping or a day out at the beach, the quirky city of Brighton is a 40 minute drive away. The lanes are full of boutiques, coffee shops and galleries, whilst the beach is perfect for a dip in the sea or sunbathing on a sunny day.
If problem-solving is your thing, the award-winning Tulleys Escape Rooms are a 15 minute drive away. Take on the timed challenge as you try to solve the clues and even enjoy a spot of afternoon tea at the neighbouring tea rooms after to unwind.
