Such a peaceful campsite, with a lovely woodland to camp in

I love Camp Wight! This site is so peaceful, with back-to-basics facilities which suit me fine. You can pitch in the woods, or be nearer the facilities with separate grassy areas. Running water is so handy dotted about the site with sinks. I didn't see a soul for my 2 night stay where I was pitched. The only things that were near me were a couple of red squirrels and I could hear a few owls at night. Owners are friendly and easy to deal with too. If you're looking for a quiet camp, which feels secluded and away from it all, this site cannot be beaten!

Amazing!

My little boy and I stayed here for 2 nights and we had an amazing time! Greeting us upon arrival, the gentleman was lovely and informative. He guided us to our pitch and I was more than pleasantly surprised. The pitch was plentiful for our size tent and surrounded by trees. When I looked up to the sky, I didn't feel like I was on a campsite at all, it was amazing! Each pitch had it's own little entrance, some were really cute and had an archway over made of the bushes, some had trees in random places where you could pitch your tent between, I really loved that! The facilities are limited but that worked absolutely fine for us and they were always clean and others were respectful. It was tidy, clean and it was quiet by 09:30/10:00pm. Camp Wight will definitely be my camping go to from now on. Thank you both very much.

Many thanks for staying with us and we love that you enjoyed our 'green room' pitches for social distancing by default!

A little piece of paradise!

This was our 3rd year at Camp Wight. It's the absolute highlight of our year. The setting is breathtaking, and has peace that is hard to find in a busy life. Thomas and Gemma are always on hand. I've camped for 25 years and this is the loveliest place I've stayed in. If you're looking for peace and quiet and getting back in touch with nature, you won't be disappointed. It's gorgeous!

Summer holiday adventure

Took my three boys away for our first backpacking adventure at the start of the summer holidays. They loved the site as we had our own private area with plenty of space for our two small tents. We caught the bus to the site, from Yarmouth, which worked really well. They found a great space to play football/bat & ball and were pleased to find a place to charge their phones! We hired a fire pit & bought wood both evenings and loved the atmosphere it created and the marshmallows we toasted! There were lots of bats to watch flying around at sunset and we watched a mole burrowing it's way around one morning too. It's easy to access footpaths from the site & catch buses to various parts of the island. There is also a child friendly pub just a short walk from the site with a climbing frame, crazy golf and football goals serving very generous portions of food.

Many thanks for choosing to stay with us and we're always delighted to welcome guests who arrive on buses!
