All of the Wigwam pods come with their own ensuite, as well as private patios with fire pits and optional wood-fired hot tubs, one even has an outdoor bath! Set on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this peaceful location is lovely for escaping normal life.

About Wigwam Holidays Sandwath Farm
Family and dog friendly glamping set on the fringes of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this secluded site is lovely for completely switching off and relaxing. The deluxe Wigwam cabins sleep a maximum of four people in a double bed and double sofa bed. The Wigwam lodges sleep up to five people (maximum five adults) in two double sofa beds and one single bed. All beds have comfy memory foam mattresses however bedding is not provided and so guests must bring their own. The Wigwam Grand is equipped with heating, a double bed and a double bed with memory foam mattresses, sleeping up to four. There is an ensuite and a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and hot plate. Bedding and towels are included so no need to bring your own. Outside is a private patio with a fire pit, seating and a covered outdoor bath. Each unit has its own ensuite with a shower, toilet, heated towel rail and sink. There is a small but well-equipped kitchen fitted with a two plate electric hot plate hob, a toaster, microwave, kettle, small fridge, crockery and cooking utensils as well as a dining table with four chairs. You'll also a small TV with a DVD player. Outside, you'll have your own paved patio space with a picnic bench, deluxe fire pit/BBQ, table and chairs and an wood fired optional hot tub. What could be better! Sit back and enjoy the stars, discover the iconic Lake Windermere for a spot of paddle boarding (50 minutes) or hike England's highest peak Scafell Pike and enjoy the views (an hour). A maximum of two dogs are allowed per unit for an additional cost, just please ensure they remain on the lead at all times. Please note, that no dogs are permitted in the Wigwam Grand. Campfires and BBQ are permitted in the provided vessels, just please don't move them as they are set up for your safety.
Wigwam Holidays Sandwath Farm is open all year round.
Each unit has its own ensuite with a toilet, shower and sink, well equipped kitchenette and own fire pit/BBQ. There is also free WiFi and the option of hot tubs. Owens Farm shop Sandwath is also onsite with a cafe serving breakfast and lunch, open 9am to 4pm Tuesday to Sunday.
A 15 minute walk down Christian Head Lane will take you to some lovely pubs, including The Taggy Man, The Bothy Cumbria and Ye Olde Fountain Inn.

Had a lovely 2 nights here. Pod had everything we needed and was very clean and very cosy. Hot tub was all set up when we got there and very easy to keep going, would definitely recommend this place!

We absolutely loved this perfect little getaway. Was extremely peaceful and also accessible to town if you're wanting pubs and restaurants. Pod was spacious, clean and cozy. Perfect heating system, roomy bathroom. Hot tub was just perfect and Stuart was so lovely and helpful. We are planning to book for summer. Amazing ❤️

The place was great! The views and locations were out of this world and it was so quiet and relaxing! Our host was great and he couldn't do enough for us! Wish we had booked for longer, the café was lovely and the overall stay was perfection! Thanks so much, we will definitely be back!

Things to do on site and in the Kirkby Stephen area
You'll be staying on the fringes of the Yorkshire Dales National Park with plenty to explore nearby including Nine Standards Rigg (15 minutes), Lammerside Castle (10 minutes), Podgill Viaduct (10 minutes) and the stunning Kisdon Force waterfall (30 minutes).
Just 20 minutes down the road is the Lake District National Park which is known to be a favourite amongst nature lover. Try boating or paddle boarding on Lake Windermere (50 minutes) or roam the flora and fauna of Holehird Gardens (55 minutes). England's highest peak Scafell Pike is just an hour away too and is a bucket list must for explorers.
