About Gate House Wood Touring Park
This is the ideal peaceful location, surrounded by lush greenery and within easy reach of the Kent Downs. This family and dog friendly site is less than an hour from London, Royal Tunbridge Wells and the Kent coast, perfect for days out. For those travelling alone, opt for the hikers pitch which comes without electric and allows a small tent and one car. Tents, campervans, caravans, motorhomes and RVs (up to 10m) are all welcome on one of the site's 36 grass pitches with 10 amp electric, or on one of the 18 non electric grass pitches. The pitches are spread across the large and spacious park to optimise peace and quiet for all. The site also conveniently located for some of Kent's most popular attractions including Lakeside Shopping Centre, Hever Castle and Diggerland. Use of the purpose built BBQs and disposal BBQs is permitted, just please use bricks underneath. Open campfires are not allowed. Dogs are welcome, with a maximum of two per pitch.

The park facilities include two purpose built toilet blocks with free and heated showers, hand dryers and shaving points as well as a separate disabled facility. There is also a fully equipped laundry room, a children's play area and two brick BBQs onsite.
The small shop onsite is well stocked with the essentials and the Royal Oak Beefeater is less than a five minute walk away, perfect for food and drink.

Site rules and policies
On arrival, please register at the Reception Office. Day visitors must also register at the Reception.
Pitches will need to be vacated by 11.30am. Arrivals after 2pm.
Please let the site know if you are likely to arrive after 6pm. Latest arrival is 9pm.
The washing of cars/caravans/motorhomes is not permitted on the park.
Only one motor vehicle is allowed per pitch. Any additional vehicles must be booked with reception and parked in the car park.
Please observe the 5mph speed limit around the site. If returning to the site after 11pm, leave your car in the car park as barriers are locked.
A late stay can be booked for £6 - if the pitch is not required.
Only one tent per pitch unless the appropriate surcharge has been paid and the boundary gap is maintained.
Large tents over 7m wide will need to book 2 pitches.
Gazebos are permitted only if used for temporary shelter from sun or showers. The gazebo must be dismantled if you are going off site or at night. Gazebos are not permitted to be used as an extension to a unit/tent or for a kitchen or sleeping room, you will be asked to dismantle the gazebo.
Chemical toilet and grey waste are to be emptied only at the appropriate disposable point.
Use of generators is not permitted.
Laundry to be hung out in a discreet manner.
Please do not tie washing lines to trees or shrubs.
Music, televisions and radios should be used considerately at all times.
Quiet time is between 10pm - 7am.
Purpose built BBQs are allowed, as long as off the ground. Disposable BBQ's are also allowed, please use bricks that can be found by the bins, please return them when finished with.
Things to do on site and in the Sevenoaks area
The site is in the ideal location for visiting some of Kent's most popular attractions.
For a day of spoiling yourself, head to the famous Lakeside Shopping Centre (30 minutes) where you can shop till you drop, play with electric boats at the Mini Port, have fun at Nickelodeon Adventure and much more!
Penshurst Place and Gardens is just half an hour away, you may recognise it as the backdrop of many films and programmes including Merlin and The Other Boleyn Girl. Here you can enjoy learning about the history of 14th century stately home, hiring a bike and cycling the many picturesque routes, or simply wandering the beautiful gardens.
There are also many adventure parks which are great for days out filled with family fun. Diggerland Kent (20 minutes) is an amusement park filled with life sized diggers, go-karts and safari rides. Kent Life (15 minutes) has a pain-a-pot studio, fun farm rides and paddle boats in the summer.
If you're wanting to head to the beach, there are many less than an hour's drive away including Upnor Beach (30 minutes), Northfleet Beach (35 minutes) and Sheerness Beach (35 minutes).
