Great location, with loads to do in the immediate area, and even more further out with Inverness less than 60 mins away. Facilities are awesome. The toilets/ showers were always clean and tidy, the kitchen area was immaculate with a microwave, hob, kettle and toaster free to use, with the added addition of a freezer to freeze ice packs for the cool box, sink and washing up facilities included too. The pitch itself was huge, enough space for a 7.5x3m tent and the car parked next to it and still space to sit outside. Lots of farmers tracks to walk round, and there is a kids playground, which mine used through the stay.

Really enjoyed our long weekend here staying in one of the classic "wigwam" cabins (2 adults + 2 under 2). This was the ideal option for us right now but there are more luxurious options available too I believe. Facilities were great, staff friendly and lots on-site and nearby to occupy kids. Pleasant location and beautiful surroundings. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay here again in the future.

Delighted you enjoyed your family break and enjoyed your stay on out Traditional Wigwam Family Pod. Indeed we try to offer different options onsite from guests' own tents and campervans, to traditional cabins and our newest ensuite cabins with wood-fired hot tubs. We look forward to welcoming you back, and really appreciate you taking the time to leave a review.

The site was really clean and tidy as was the pod, bothy and toilets. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. The only down side was we were expecting to use activities like the quad bikes and laser tag, only to be advised this hasn't been available since 2020. Other than this, it was a lovely relaxing few days on a working farm.

We could not find our booking in the post box when we arrived, but this was dealt with quickly and easily with a phone call. The facilities were immaculate and as we were almost the only people on site using them there were no issues. I would not choose to use this site at a busier time of year as the number of toilets/showers, I feel is inadequate for the number of pitches. I might use the site again as a one night stopover due to the convenience of its location.
Site's response
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and your positive comments about ease of booking/check-in, cleanliness and location. As you were the just about the only guests onsite, we did only have one toilet and shower open for you and the other guest onsite during your stay, but there are other toilets and showers in the facilities located next to the pitches you were in, an additional toilet and shower block and additional toilets and showers located at the far end of the campsite for our summer season pitches, and additional toilets and showers at the main building. So fear not, there are more toilets and showers (we exceed the numbers required for the pitches that we have, we just open these as occupancy requires). I hope we can welcome you again at quieter or busier times and you can enjoy more of our lovely area on your future adventures. Once again, thank you.

A nice, quiet campsite. Very clean and in a great location for going off exploring. The entrance to the site looks a little run down, but once you're in, it's lovely and clean with great views.
Site's response
Thanks for your forgiveness of our messy farm entrance, as a working farm and at the start of the season, we have a bit of tidying up to do, but we will get there soon with the brighter weather arriving. Hopefully next time you visit, you will notice an improvement. I have been out with my team and we have been tidying up already. Thank you for your lovely comments on our sites cleanliness and great views. Hope to see you again soon.

A lovely campsite that is well maintained and a great location for relaxing and sightseeing. I definitely recommend it. I knocked one star off only due to an issue where we did not receive the welcome pack in any email. The result was we twice got grumped at for things we didn't know and yet kept being told it's in the email. Many thanks to V for a lovely chat checking some details prior to our visit.
Site's response
Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, I'm really pleased you enjoyed your stay and I'm sorry to hear you didn't get the pre-arrival email, they often end up in spam as I do include lots of links to local places of interest which I think may be causing the issue. I have checked my records and it was sent on the 18th July a few days before your stay. I hope we can welcome you again. I'll be sure to work on my pre-arrival email and see what we can do to stop it being marked as spam. We really do want guests to have all the information in advance as there is so much to see and do locally.

1 night stay with no midges in sight. Looked forward to this since we booked it. Got aquatinted with Grigor, lovely man, good banter and very down to earth. Site had everything we needed, facilities were excellent and clean. Will be back.
Site's response
Really pleased you enjoyed a midge free stay! Thank you for noting this and sharing our midge free status with others, we are certainly blessed in their absence here :) Delighted you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to you visiting again.

We spent 4 nights at the Loft camping, pitch 47. That was a great spot 😊 Lovely local walks. Close to the beautiful town of Forres, which is well worth a visit, and to Findhorn which is stunning. The site itself is in a lovely location and offers great pitches. Toilet and shower facilities were immaculate. It's a very a thoughtfully laid out site. We will be going back.

We had a wonderful stay at the loft. We particularly loved that we could go to the snack shack every morning for a bacon buttie. The banter and the service was fab. The site was perfect for us and for our dog (who had her first camping trip and loved it). Loads of places to visit. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. Particularly those with dogs and families. We will be back.

Brilliant stay. Two-year old son’s first camping experience and he loved it. This is such a good location for exploring nearby places, but my son would have been happy if we didn’t leave the campsite at all - swings, slides, walking trails, goats, the fairy hill (with ‘horsey swing’) all kept him delighted. We’ll definitely be back.
Site's response
Thank you. I am smiling reading this review! So happy to have been part of your son's first fun camping experience. We look forward to welcoming you again :)

Overall, a good camping site but I thought a bit overzealous with the pricing. I expected a £10 fee for a fire pit would come with firewood. I felt the extra £15 a bit over the top. The tent pitches are nice and surrounded with trees. The barn could use some work. Showers and toilets were good.
Site's response
Our prices are comparable with other sites and we aim to keep costs as low as we can manage. The firepit charge is a "tidy up" charge as we need to deliver the firepits and tidy up the firepits for the next guest arrivals. Wood is an additional cost as it costs us to provide this. Wood costs are increasing and we make a very small income from provision of firewood but we feel it is an essential part of a camping trip and like to make it available. Guests are however welcome to bring their own wood but they must hire a firepit for safety and the before mentioned tidy up reasons. Our barns were damaged badly in the storms earlier this year but now with insurance approval we have some great additions and tidy up plans coming so we hope next year's guests will like the additions. We are glad you enjoyed the camping pitches and showers and toilets :) We hope we can welcome you again.
