A note from the site themselves...
I started out as a teacher and my partner as a NHS worker. In 2012, forest school was where we started providing outdoor education and bushcraft fun.
In 2017 we were asked to host a woodland wedding, which we miraculously pulled off. The following year we had another wedding and these people asked to camp, we had a few other celebrations that year with the camping. We then decided to give the camping a go as a separate business...and it worked!
We love the simplicity of what we provide. A beautiful, back to basics setting with a few plush extras. Meeting people from all over is fascinating. It's hard work, but rewarding. Our place is so tranquil and even when we are working we feel the sense of peace.
We are really proud of running three businesses, forest school, celebrations and camping. Getting up every day to something different, no day is ever the same as the one before.

Shepherd's Hut - Owl's Nest Shepherd's HutAug 2023
We had the most amazing time at The Wrekin Forest school campsite recently.
I came with my daughter and granddaughter and right from our arrival I knew it was going to be good. It's situation, the peace, the beautiful Shepard's huts etc.
On further investigation, we found a play area and the Forest school itself, which was great for my 5-year-old granddaughter.
The campsite and huts were well equipped, yet incorporated well into the eco ethos. It still felt a back-to-nature experience.
We will be back 😊👍

Small Tent - Wild Tent PitchesApr 2024
We stayed in very early season, was quiet and we enjoyed it that way. Can imagine the setup would be especially lovely in the summer! Some nice touches around the place. Spent evenings around the fire pit looking for shooting stars in the night sky. All in all, a nice little getaway!
Site's response
Despite the early season and some of our site still being a little wet, we are very glad you enjoyed your stay. Hope you see shooting stars next time! Judie & Anthony

Small Tent - Squirrel's Hideaway Pitch (Adult Only)Apr 2024
We had an absolutely lovely time despite the weather. The campsite is extremely well equipped with lots of items available to use if you forget anything. The hosts are lovely and respect your peace and quiet.
The nearby Forest School site is the best we've seen and that's coming from two Forest School leaders!
We will definitely be back and I am very excited to do a family camp this summer with my granddaughter. Highly recommend a break away from it all here!
Site's response
We are so pleased you had a good stay. We are delighted you are planning a return visit.
Thank you for your comments regarding Forest School. We look forward to seeing you again in the summer. J&A.
