Small Tent - Extra Large Non Electric Meadow Tent PitchesJul 2023

Stopped off here as part of a multi day bike-packing trip. Whilst the weather was horrendous (strong rain and wind) the camping pitch was a godsend - largely because of the sheltered toilet. The shower was amazing (hot and powerful) and very welcomed! When I was setting off, I got a puncture leaving the campsite which I was struggling with. One of the owners from Moat Farm (I'm sorry that I didn't catch his name) came over to help and managed to get me back on the road. I was very grateful of his help. All in all a great stay and would happily come back with wife and dogs in a sensible sized tent! Thanks for the stay guys.

Lovely secluded site

Small Tent - Extra Large Non Electric Meadow Tent PitchesJun 2023

The owners are very helpful and organised. There is a kind of relaxed quiet quaintness. Never had so much dedicated space before. Each pitch is formed of a mown island amongst the long grass (when we went a metre tall). The dedicated composting toilet was an experience, but very clean and did not smell at all, my teenage daughter and reluctant camper wife were perfectly happy with it too. We also particularly like that each pitch has its own toilet, this means that you have the convenience of being right next to a loo, without the resultant noise from other campers (banging doors etc). With the long grass for privacy and warm evenings, it was as convenient as using the loo at home for the inevitable trips during the night. (I seem to be going on about toilets quite a bit!) We never had to queue for a shower and they were very clean and practical with plenty of space and hot water.

Enjoyed it so much I booked an extra night!

Medium Tent - Extra Large Non Electric Meadow Tent PitchesAug 2022

Excellent campsite! The fact you get your own compositing toilet on your pitch is amazing when you have children. The pitches are all mown into the meadow, and provide great privacy while still creating pathways for neighbours to say high and for the kids to meet and play together. I loved the fire pits on each pitch too, with logs and kindling available from the farm house. A really cosy evening fire with only the solar lights and the stars in the sky was just blissful each night. The owners were lovely, and although a lot of wasps had emerged the day before we arrived (a problem across all of Norfolk that week) they worked hard to make wasp traps for each pitch, and in the main that really helped, and no one got stung!! The solar showers were lovely and warm with great water pressure, the only thing that was a bit of a faff was filling your washing up bowl in the shower to take over to the washing station! The walk from the car parking to the pitches wasn't far at all, and there were wheelbarrows for everyone to use. My only feedback is that the site is a little tricky to spot when driving past….which was a bit stressful when towing a small trailer as I had to unhitch and turn round in someone's driveway! I will definitely go back again in the future. Well connected for Bressingham steam museum, Africa Alive and the Beccles Lido.
