Wow just everything and more we could have hoped for. Ok so the sun shone the whole time however even if it hadn't it wouldn't have mattered. The welcome was so warm and hospitable, John is a fantastic host. The site is so well maintained and pretty much all you could wish for! We will return again and again, the location is a little peace of heaven 💜 Thank you, John - we will be back.

Booked the Cayo retreat as a last minute bank holiday decision. We got to the site and were greeted by John who was very cheerful and very helpful. Showed us to the campervan plot and left us to get set up. After a few hours he came around to check everything was ok and to let us know they lit a fire in the middle of the site under a timber frame lit with fairy lights, which was a lovely meeting area to get to speak with the other campers. Facilities are limited but very well set up and kept clean, toilets are in the same pod as the showers so can get quite a queue in the mornings, but we all managed to be able to use the facilities with very small delays. Would definitely recommend this for anyone.

Immaculate! The best campsite I have ever stayed at. The site was kept beautifully, the actual pitches were like bowling greens. Beautiful scenery, fabulous walks & a dog friendly pub nearby. Such a chilled vibe, perfect for unwinding and relaxing. Nothing was too much for the host, John! Fabulous, we'll be back 🐾

The campsite looks great, with a nicely maintained lawn. Beautiful views in the daytime, lovely fairy lights in the night and a peaceful location. It's properly illuminated so you can see your way around in the dark. It has good facilities with warm showers, sinks and toilets. John, the owner, was friendly and welcoming. My daughter loved the rope swing over the stream.

What a find this place is. It was an impromptu booking a few days before and we fell in love with it the minute we drove in. John was there to welcome us and was a perfect host from beginning to end. The location is great as your view is of the Black Mountains and most of the walks are accessible on foot without needing to drive. The local village shop is packed with essentials and locally sourced goodies, the local pub is in walking distance of the campsite. What I particularly liked are the new showers and all of the aesthetic details that make the campsite feel more luxurious, especially the full length mirrors, decorative grass and candle lit bathrooms at night. We loved it so much that we stayed for an extra night to explore Cardiff and I'm hoping to host a retreat there next year. Thank you for having us, we'll be back!

Beautiful location. Brand new, high quality toilet block. Lawns immaculate. Slight slope on campsite, but fine. Owner very personable. No hot water sinks for washing up, but showers were very good after a hard day's paragliding. If you ask the owner, he will even let you land your paraglider in the site. Rope swings over the stream looked fun but didn't try them out. Pub 700m away serves food.

Lovely owner who directed us to our pitch, and also recommended things to do nearby. Small river running around the site which was great for the dog. New toilet block which were immaculate. Would recommend!

Well spaced site with toilets well positioned. Shower was perfect. Sheep well away from camping area, and owner let you run your dog in one of his fields. Great walks and MTB routes in the area. Will return.

Easy to find. Really enjoyed the place and the surrounding mountains. Very quiet and green. We even saw an owl, sitting on the road seemingly guarding the access to the site. John was most welcoming and helpful. Super experience!

A fantastic location with amazing views - feels really secluded whilst having the benefit of a pub and shop within a 1 mile walk. Plenty of wild life to see along with dark skies. John is a great host - hits that great balance of being friendly and welcoming without being intrusive. Toilets are portaloo but they are very well kept. John told us that more permanent toilets and showers are on the way. This is a great site in a lovely valley - we will return!

John is so welcoming and accommodating. We were lucky that the campsite was quiet, so we had plenty of space but even if it was full, the pitches are large and seem reasonably well spaced. There are no showers and only have 5 chemical toilets- so if it was busy, the facilities may be lacking! We walked up to Offa's Path from the campsite to breathtaking views, wild ponies and total peace and quiet. We would definitely go back.

Absolutely recommend! The only draw back is kids kicking footballs around open fires and the BBQ, got hit a few times which could have caused a problem. But the site itself was fantastic, quite and beautiful! John was brilliant. Coming back soon, going to be bringing the whole family.

We were lucky and found ourselves in a beautiful place at the foot of the hills and were the only people there. We walked the hills from the campsite and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. However, there are only 6 portaloos, so when the site is busy this could be a problem.
