Skye Club Site is located on the shores of Loch Greshornish on a working croft. Highland Cattle and sheep graze nearby and you can enjoy duck and hen eggs from The Croft. With a mix of pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes plus varied glamping options, there's something for everyone!

About Skye Camping and Caravanning Club Site

You'll be staying on a working croft alongside peacefully grazing sheep. The site overlooks Loch Greshornish with stunning views to the hills beyond and is a great base for exploring Scotland's atmospheric isles. There are 105 pitches offering a mix of hardstanding and grass pitches with or without electric. There are also have a number of jumbo pitches offering some extra space. Caravans, motorhomes, tents and trailer tents are all welcome and many pitches have stunning loch-side views. In addition, there are two camping pods (one of which is dog-friendly) available to hire for that extra special experience of sleeping in accommodation that is ready and waiting for you. Dogs are welcome and there is a designated dog walk.

Facilities and amenities

Facilities include an amenity block with toilets, washbasins, showers, electric shaver points, a family shower room and disabled facilities. There are dishwashing facilities and a laundry, a motorhome service point, ice pack freezing, Wi-Fi and a shop on site.

Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. Please always clean up after your dog.


Dunvegan Castle, the oldest continually inhabited Castle in Scotland, is a great attraction nearby. Pony trekking is also available from the Isle of Skye Trekking Centre, a superb way to take everything in.

The Aros Centre hosts many events during the year and has a selection of craft outlets, a children's play area and a CCTV link showing local eagles' nests.

Talisker Distillery runs standard and connoisseur tours so you can see, and try, the single malt whisky in production.

The Seaprobe Atlantis is a glass-bottomed boat showing wrecks and marine life that visitors love. It sails from Kyle of Lochalsh. Several other boats operate in the area, including the Misty Isle - travelling to what many call the best viewpoint in Scotland. The MV Stardust runs fishing and wildlife trips.

Sheepskin specialists Skyeskyns are a traditional tannery open to visitors in the area. The Shilasdair Yarn Company uses natural dyes on pure Scottish wool to create amazing things that make great gifts. You can even see the craftsmen at work on wood-fired, salt-glazed pieces at Edinbane Pottery.

Armadale Castle houses the Clan Donald Centre and the Museum of the Isles for anyone curious about the local history. After that turn your attention to nature at The Orbost Gallery, which celebrates the landscape of Skye and the Highlands.
