About Wigwam Holidays Sedgewell Barn

Escape the hustle and bustle to this peaceful working farm providing you with an idyllic base to explore the Dales and North York Moors. Stay in one of the deluxe Wigwam pods here. All benefit from their own private shower room along with additional modern luxuries such as well equipped kitchenette, comfy beds, electric heating and TV. The site hosts four types of wigwam pods, all of which are equipped with a double bed and double sofa bed, kitchen, TV and ensuite shower room. Outside you'll have a private fire pit, picnic table and hot tub! Choose from a pet friendly pod, a pet free pod or a pet friendly pod that has accessibility features. There's guaranteed to be something to suit everyone. Step outside your glamping base and you can admire the stunning countryside on your doorstep from the decking area. Four legged friends are welcome too and the private dog walk is perfect for stretching everyone's legs. One set of bedding is included, please bring your own additional bedding, or add this to your booking. A fire pit, with firewood bundle is included in your stay. Additional logs and firelighters can be added to your booking.

Wigwam Holidays Sedgewell Barn is open all year round.

Facilities and amenities

Pod facilities are self contained with en-suite including toilet, walk-in shower and wash basin. On the site is an enclosed play area including a basket swing, slide and swings. There is also a grassed area which can be used for football, cricket or frisbee games and more.

The honesty shop onsite stocks free range eggs and marshmallows. The local pub in Ainderby Steeple called the Wellington Heifer serves excellent food and is a short walk from the site.

Pod - En-Suite Deluxe Wigwam Pods With Optional Hot Tub (Pet Friendly)Sep 2023

Such a lovely stay in a deluxe en-suite wigwam pod. Beautiful location with great views across fields. It is down a long lane, so out of the way. So peaceful and a lovely outdoor seating area at the front of the pod where the BBQ also is; as well as plenty of surrounding grass to make use of. A lovely spot to relax and take in the views/read a book/have your morning coffee! The pod was great; spacious and had everything you could need for your stay. Pods are well spaced out too. Perfectly placed between both the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors so we had a drive to both during our stay and found some beautiful walks and places to visit. Also plenty of local walks and pubs to visit. I bought a fan for the pod, which cooled it down nicely as I took my labrador who struggles a bit in the heat and I somehow ended up choosing a very hot week to visit 😅 A friend and her little girl stayed with us for one night and they also loved it. Perfect for solo visits, couples, families with children of all ages and dogs! Definitely recommend a stay here. A lovely little escape and will definitely be back.

I will definitely be visiting again, but for longer next time! Was such a lovely stay, on my way there I received a call to wish me a nice stay. Getting there was even better than I expected. It was beautiful, around the pods and in the pods. I loved that it was designed in a way you had everything you could possibly need and the honesty shop being just next door, we could grab some eggs- fabulous. So peaceful and fresh, I couldn't have asked for much more.
