Scallow Glamping, Caravan and Campsite Certificated Site is a peaceful site in a rural location - near the village of East Hoathly. Welcoming tents and touring, find your spot on a small range of grass and hardstanding pitches (members only). There are also three fully-equipped glamping pods that sleep up to two in a double or twin. Close by to many countryside walks and a short 20-30 minute drive to the coast.

About Scallow Glamping, Caravan and Campsite
A fantastic little site in a countryside location, home to a handful of grass and hardstanding pitches and fully-equipped glamping pods. It's located just a short walk to the village of East Hoathly (a 20-minute walk) with easy access to Brighton and Eastbourne (a 30-minute drive). Choose from one grass pitch and five hardstanding pitches with electric hook-ups to suit tents or tourers. The pitches are spaced generously and are well maintained with good facilities nearby. There is a high quality shower and toilet block on site. Sleeping up to two, the glamping pods are equipped with gas ring burners, a fridge, TV, bedding and towels. You'll find a terrace with seating, a barbeque and firepit outside. Friendly dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead whilst on site. Dogs are not allowed in the glamping pods.
The site's hardstanding pitches and glamping pods are available year round, while grass pitches are available from April to September.
Facilities include a toilet and shower block with an outside washup area. There is also a designated dog walking area.
The village of East Hoathly is just over a mile away (a 20-minute walk) with a shop, cafe and a pub called The Kings Head serving food and drink.

First time staying in a pod and I did not know what to expect, upon arriving at the site, the pods were very clean and felt cosy. I loved our first experience and will definitely recommend it to friends and family. The pod had everything you need (ie. cooking utensils/pots/pans, plates/mugs/glasses/cutlery). There is also Wi-Fi to connect your devices for your own entertainment. Special thanks to Tim the site owner, he's done a splendid job in maintaining the pods and site overall.

We stayed in a pod for two people - it was really comfortable and very well equipped. We sat out on the decking area with chairs provided. The bathroom was excellent and great to have your own dedicated facilities. There was great communication on the day before we arrived on everything we needed to know. Oh, and very comfy beds too!

Second visit to this wonderful spot, friendly welcome pack and so cosy inside. Countryside spot with fabulous facilities, close to great local village pubs for evening meals. Highly recommend a stay here!

Things to do on site and in the Lewes area
The site are positioned close to the coast, which is about 12 miles to Eastbourne and 16 miles to Brighton. Tunbridge Wells is also close by and only 30 minutes away.
Uckfield, Heathfield and Lewes are also within easy reach and have plenty of shops to browse as well as the major supermarkets for any essentials needed during your stay.
National Trust properties including Batemans at Burwash and Sheffield Park are nearby too.
