About Presaddfed - Druids' Rest

This quiet, family friendly campsite is situated on a working farm, next door to a fascinating ancient Neolithic monument. Mature woodlands nearby provide a natural habitat for wildlife and, as well as awakening to a wonderful dawn chorus, with a little bit of fieldcraft and patience, you can expect to see red squirrels. As a former cricket ground, you are guaranteed a flat pitch as well as plenty of safe space for children to run around. There are a total of 35 non electric grass pitches and 8 electric grass pitches, each allowing tents and up to eight guests. For tourers, there are 10 hardstanding pitches with electric hook up. The site is located within five minutes of the A55 enabling access to most areas of the island within a twenty minute drive. There are also plenty of stunning beaches, including Trearddur Bay and Rhosneigr, within 15 minutes of the site and you can be at the heart of Snowdonia (including Zip World) in less than an hour. If you wish to try something different, there's air rifle shooting by arrangement (ages 6+) and clay pigeon shooting just a ten minute walk away on Saturday and Wednesday evenings. Each pitch also comes with its own fire pit, perfect for evenings of toasting marshmallows. BBQs are also allowed so make sure you bring your chef's apron! This is a peaceful spot and the owners would like to keep it that way, so please be aware that the site must be quiet after 9pm. Please note, this is a dog free site.

Presaddfed - Druids' Rest is open from 24/05 to 26/10.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent PitchesAug 2023

First camping trip, took friends and kids with us. Staff were lovely and very friendly. They couldn't do enough for you - games to play for kids and a little forest which the kids loved, they weren't out of them. Facilities were spotless, will definitely return and would definitely recommend.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent PitchesAug 2023

Great campsite! Not overly crowded and noise rules were adhered to. Clean and spacious shower facilities and the showers were always nice and hot! Separate toilet block, so never needed to wait for one. Very family friendly. Lots of space for kids to play in and the giant games were fun for me and my partner to play with (not just for the kids!) Good location too and Trearddur Bay down the road is beautiful. Thank you for a great stay!

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent PitchesMay 2023

Stayed here over the bank holiday weekend, and was really impressed. The pitches are flat (it used to be a cricket pitch) well maintained and the shower block and toilet facilities are some of the best I've seen on a campsite, well maintained, cleaned regularly and plenty of hot water. The on site shop/hut is great for charging your phone, and for buying bits and bobs. The location is great for getting about to all that Anglesey has to offer, but it's really quiet too with no road noise. The owners are brilliant, really helpful and talkative, but also leave you alone. All in all, a great site and will definitely be coming back again. Thanks for a great stay (and use of the plug for hair straightening). Andy & Martina
