A note from the site themselves...

Thirsk Hall is a family home and in May 2021, opened its private gardens to the public for the first time in nearly 300 years. The Hall itself is a grade II listed three-storey town house built in 1723 and extended in 1770 by York architect John Carr. The house is currently the home of Daisy and Bill and their three boys!

The house is unique in its setting - to the east of the house it sits in the town of Thirsk and out the west door (to the rear), there are 20 acres of gardens, walled paddocks and a parkland - you wouldn't believe it was there.

As the next generation, Daisy and Bill are set to have a new focus, developing what has hitherto been the ad hoc hosting of al fresco events in the environs of the Hall.

We want it to be a safe, secure area for families, and even cars aren't able to go down into the walled garden so grab yourself a wheelbarrow and have fun wheeling your bags, and children, down to the secret garden behind the wall.
