About the site


A quiet, relaxed site ideal for a stopover or a base for exploring Manchester and Liverpool. Offering a back to basics camping experience, this quiet site welcomes families and dogs and is a great spot for those visiting the Creamfields festival, just ten minutes away. There are two grass fields with level non electric grass pitches measuring a spacious 15m x 15m. Each suitable for tents, campervans, motorhomes and roof tents, please note that there must be at least 10m between pitches. You'll be just a ten minute walk to two pubs and under a five minute walk from the lovely Hollies Farm shop, great if you want to pick up some local produce. There are lots of countryside walks and great public transport links for days out. You'll also be ten minutes from Pickmere Lake and 20 minutes from Manley Mere. Spend your evenings sitting around the campfire, toasting marshmallows and sharing stories. Enjoy a peaceful night's sleep with a quiet policy between 10pm and 8am. Dogs are welcome onsite but please note that breeds and crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act are not accepted. Campfires and raised BBQs are welcome. Please note that in hot, dry or windy conditions fires and BBQs are not permitted.

The site has separate male and female toilet blocks, as well as a pay per use shower block, a washing up area with hot water and a drinking water standpipe. You will also find mobile phone charging facilities and access to free WiFi.

Hollie's Farm Shop is under a five minute walk away for local produce and a pub is a ten minute walk away at The Partridge or The Stretton Fox.


A note from the site themselves...

We are a simple, back to basics campsite with campfires and barbecues encouraged, you can even purchase logs and kindling onsite.

We live onsite so are available for queries or assistance 24/7 any issues such as a flat car battery or the wrong pump for your air bed and we will do our best to help!

Absolutely 5 stars, I couldn't recommend the site enough, we will definitely be back in the future. Paul and his family we're really welcoming and helpful, the showers and toilet toilets are kept spotless, amazing view of the sunset in the evenings, very calm and relaxing place to stay.

Admission

At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.

No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

Please pick any available pitch on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 3 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.

The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).

Extras

A charge of £2.00 applies for the use of the shower.

Motorbike(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

General

In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.

Quiet hours must be respected between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m..

Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.

Refunds within the indicated cancellation period are only possible if the site is able to relet your unit/pitch.

The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.

Pitches

You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.

Reception

There is no reception on-site: on arrival please contact the number provided on your booking confirmation.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.

Firepits are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.

Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.

Things to do on site and in the Warrington area

Pickmere Lake (10 minutes) is a great spot for a leisurely stroll with a footpath around the lake and even some paths that take you round the scenic countryside. Or, if you are looking for a bit more adventure Manley Mere (20 minutes) offers kayaking, windsurfing and powerboating.

Warrington (20 minutes) is home to a museum, canal and the leafy Sankey Valley Park. Head to Walton Hall for impressive grounds and a small zoo if you want to keep the little ones occupied!

The city centres of Manchester and Liverpool are within a 50 minute drive where you can visit the shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. Or, if you are looking for a base for the Creamfields festival the site is only ten minutes away!
