Family-friendly glamping includes a choice of dog friendly wooden Wigwams (camping pods). Sleeping from 2-5, some have an en-suite WC and running water. There is also a handful of pods with luxurious hot tubs too! Bedding packs, croc boxes and a handful of other extras to hire too. Inside the Wigwams, you'll find foam mattresses, heating, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and picnic table, with celebration packages to finish off the experience. Equipped with electricity, heating and thick foam mattresses, they provide a comfortable, all-year-round glamorous glamping experience in Northumberland. Fire pits available for hire. Exclusively for adults, The Castle Pods provide a modern luxury with hot tubs and a large private outdoor patio. The Castle Pods sleep two adults and are perfect for a romantic break. The Warkworth Castle Pod is accessible (hot-tub not accessible). Two of the Castle Pods are dog friendly. Perfect for exploring Hadrian's Wall the AD122 Hadrian's Wall bust stops at the site entrance and at all the Roman attractions along the wall between Hexham and Haltwhistle. The walk into Haltwhistle along Haltwhistle Burn is extremely scenic and peaceful and there are a variety of shops, pubs and cafes in Haltwhistle as well as a host of country pubs a short drive. Kielder Water and the Northumberland Coast are just an hour's drive from Herding Hill Farm.

Herding Hill Farm is a low noise site and the team respectfully request no noise after 10.30 pm.

Dogs must be kept on short leads. Dangerous breeds not allowed.
During your stay, you'll meet friendly farm animals, including the likes of alpacas, Coco the noisy donkey, goats, Robin the Shetland pony, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs and two Kunekune piglets Chilli and Ginger.
The area around the site is a walking and cycling haven. It is situated less than a mile away from the most spectacular and best-preserved sections of Hadrian's Wall midway between two famous Roman forts of Chesters and Birdoswald. Housesteads and Vindolanda are a short drive.
Cawfields Quarry is just 15 minutes walk away, while the location is also a perfect stop-off for walkers of the Pennine Way. The Northumberland National Park (an International Dark Sky Park) is nearby too, so this site is a must if you are interested in stargazing.
There are excellent star gazing experiences at both Twice Brewed and the Kielder Observatory, as well as from your own pitch, glamping pod or hot tub here at Herding Hill Farm.
The gorgeous beaches of the Northumberland coast are around 90 minutes drive, and Newcastle and Carlisle are both less than an hour's drive.
