Excellent
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2026 Paul is a very friendly guy who with the aid of his staff run an excellent site, very clean and tidy all round, great location to the m6 and well worth an overnight stay wether travelling north or south, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this site 👍

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2026 There's a totally relaxed vibe on this lovely little site. Great views all round. The facilities are clean and modern. The 20p for 3 minutes actually works really well because it is plenty of time to have a good shower. It free's them up so others don't have to wait too long. My pitch number was emailed to me so there was no need to have to check in. The owners were just there in the background if you needed any local knowledge. Pitches are mostly fairly level, some are slightly out but they even provided ramps for them. The canal walk next to the site is nice. There's a hotel over the road with nice food all day and beer garden. Plus shop at garage nearby.

Ideal short break
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2026 Downgraded the location because of the proximity of the A65, busy road making crossing difficult (ish) if you visit the Crooklands Hotel or use the bus to get to & from Kendal.
Apart from that, very minor downside, we couldn't fault this site, everything is perfect.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2026 The campsite was super easy to find and is located very conveniently. The owner is super nice and very welcoming and I loved how dog-friendly the place is. There are great walks along the channel which is located directly next to the site. The facilities were also spotless throughout my stay.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2026 Couldn't fault it.
Site was well looked after and the warden was very welcoming and helpful. Only thing to note is that whilst the proximity to the motorway makes it easy to get to, the noise can be intrusive if/when the wind is in a certain direction.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2026 We chose Little Acre as a stop off on our way back to London from Scotland and it was a great choice!
We were met like old friends and shown to our pitch and all the facilities, where the local amenities were including walks and pubs to visit.
The facilities were by far the best we experienced of the 10 sites we stayed at during our holiday. The toilets, showers and laundry facilities were hotel standard, absolutely immaculate!
A beautiful little park to stay at - quiet, friendly and spotless! Impossible to fault in any way. We will be back without a doubt!

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2026 Duper site just minutes away from Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale .Bus stop very close to site.
Our hosts even printed timetabke for us
Free levellers available on all pitches.( As sloping pitches)
Extra long hose on tap to enable us to fill up on our pitch.

The vast majority of campervan and motorhome pitches are perfectly flat an don't need any chocks or ramps - for the few that aren't, I provide ramps, so that everyone can get themselves levelled up easily.

Fabulous campsite
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2026 Lovely site with friendly owners. Toilet/shower facilities are lovely with added extras of cotton wool, cotton buds, nail files and hand cream and are always kept clean.
The pitches are a nice size and the site is not overcrowded and not overpriced.

What a fantastic campsite
Roof Tent - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2026 Had a fabulous time at Little Acre.
Paul is a fantastic host, really made us feel welcome and gave us a personal tour of the campsite. Pitch was perfect, shame we only stayed 1 night.
Facilities were great, toilets and shower block was spotlessly clean. 20p for a shower, but I thought it was a good idea to stop people staying in there for ages, managed to get a shower in under 2 minutes, even had time to condition my hair 😂
The Crooklands pub/hotel was only a few minutes walk from the campsite and did fantastic meals, roast dinner was like a Christmas dinner. Staff really friendly.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Little Acre. Will definitely be returning.

Immaculate site, steps away from canal
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2026 This was our final stopover after two wonderful weeks touring Scotland. A lovely, pristine, small site with immaculate facilities.
Great pub about two minutes walk away over a busy main road. Lovely canal towpath walk outside site gate. Could not find grey waste dump and warden wasn't there until. Other people said that people dropped in on the pitch. A little background noise from M6 but not bad.
One word of warning though. Do not follow the Satnav directions if coming from the north. The road is very narrow and steep with no passing places. Be sure to follow the directions from the emails sent to you from the site. Another lesson I learnt.

I've been told previously that if you are coming from the North and your sat nav is set for "shortest route" then the roads that you are sent down and hard work in a car, never mind a motorhome or caravan. Fortunately, most sat navs are set for "quickest route" and the road that brings you 1 mile from Junct 36 on the M6 is very good indeed.

only 1 shower though.

The shower and loo block that was closest to you was totally refurbished last Winter and has 2 showers in it, plus, we have another new shower, loo, laundry and washing up block on the other side of the site, which has another couple of showers in it, so for next time to have more showers to choose from !!

On site loos etc were beautiful, great laundry and washing up facilities. Some pitches not level, so be prepared with wedges. Perfectly positioned for exploring.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2026 We stayed the one night at little Acres as we had a kid free night!
The site was lovely, well kept, nicely spaced out. The facilities were clean and modern.
It was dog friendly and right next to a lovely stretch of the canal!
Another bonus, only a 2 min walk from the Crooklands Hotel where had a lovely meal

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Small Pitch Jul 2026 Extremely happy with our one night stay. We would have stayed longer if it wasn't for the fact that we had other commitments.
Host was very friendly, super efficient and very accomodating.
Site was clean, tidy, inviting and relaxing.
We liked the ginger cat at reception too .
