We had a wonderfully quiet midweek break for our 20th anniversary - the location was better than expected, all items you would need were provided and the woodland walks were lovely. Both of us have busy and sometimes stressful jobs so the peace and quiet was exactly as we wanted and required. We never needed to contact the owners as thoughtful postcards notes and information packs were provided and most things are fairly obvious to easily work out. It is a wonderful part of the country and, while remote in the hills, it is only a very short drive to the local towns and beaches. We would definitely recommend to any couple looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway.

My adult daughter and I have just returned from a wonderful 2 night break in the Shepherds Hut. It is in an idyllic, secluded location, beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and has everything you could possibly need, including a cosy wood burner (wood supplied). Everything in there, from the crisp cotton bedsheets to the cutlery was high quality. It is hidden down a track and has lovely countryside views. The outdoor space had tables and chairs, a fire pit and a barbecue and our dog loved running around (on a long lead). You definitely need a car to explore the area but it's only a short drive from Lyme Regis and Charmouth. It would be ideal for a romantic break - I hope to return next year for this 😁
