About the site

Located across the road from Murton Farm, Tearoom and Nature Reserve, this adult only site is well positioned for scenic walks. For days out, Dundee and Montrose are within a 25 minute drive, along with popular sandy beaches and coastal trails. For tent campers, there are two grass pitches without electric. Caravans and campervans up to 6m can also pitch up on 10m x 7m grass pitches, each with a 16 amp electric hook up. Please note that the grass pitches are down a steep hill. If you would rather a more weather-proof hardstanding pitch, there are both 16 amp electric and fully serviced pitches with electric, water and grey waste drainage. These allow campervans, caravans and motorhomes. A range of shepherd's huts is great for those looking for a glamping getaway. Each comes fully furnished with a kitchen, including a sink, hob, fridge and cooking utensils. You will also have a private ensuite bathroom, along with heating and a smart TV. The regular huts have a fitted king size bed and a separate seating area, whilst Strathmore has a drop-down king-size bed that folds up to reveal a bench dining area. Bedding, linen and towels are all included. Outside, you will also have a patio area that includes a dining area and private fencing. The site is dog friendly, with up to two dogs permitted per pitch and pet friendly shepherd's hut. Evenings can be spent enjoying a meal at the onsite restaurant, with a delicious, locally sourced menu on offer Wednesday to Sunday. Or, if you would prefer to cook, raised BBQs are permitted.

Foresterseat Holiday Park is open from 27/03 to 31/10. Pitches from £20/night for 2 people.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Touring PitchesMay 2026

Great campsite- level pitches, electric and water at the pitch. Very clean toilets. Would stay again. Future guests note - the restaurant nearby stops serving at 7pm on a Sunday as we found out at 7:08pm…….. however there’s a great chip shop on North Street - freshly made and good portions!

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesApr 2026

Easy stay, beautiful surroundings and friendly and helpful staff. The campsite itself was very quiet, however the pitches for the tents are near a busy road with lots of motorbikes. If this doesn't bother you, then I would say 10/10. I was very impressed with the cleanliness with the showers and toilets.. The food at the restaurant was top class a d me and my dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will be back again. Thank you very much!

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

We like to go camping in our 4 people tent although there are 2 of us. We wanted to go to the Pipe Band Championships in Perth and had to settle for Foresterseat near Forfar at the last minute. As noted in the info the tents are "down a steep hill" - turned out to be a flat area and a haven of peace away from caravans, cars and not very steep. The toilet block is not far away and is the cleanest ever, hottest showers, laundry room etc, etc. Our 1st night was the windiest I have ever spent in a tent - no sleep until 5am but we weren't blown away. Our 2nd night was the best sleep ever - calm, 9 hours deep and drift! There's a burn (stream) between the site and the road bound by trees on both sides which keeps traffic noise to a minimum - very little traffic anyway. We'll be back, with stronger pegs!
