Peaceful Porlock Vale Campsite is situated in a quiet, spacious meadow with mature oak trees, a river and panoramic countryside and moorland views. This adult-only site is set on a working farm on the National Trust Holnicote Estate in Exmoor National Park, is easily accessed from the A39 (half a mile) and is a short drive from the coast too. Enjoy spacious grass pitches, and explore with plenty of walking and cycling. Well-behaved dogs welcome.

If you're looking to get away from it all, enjoy peace and quiet and chill and relax, with lovely views all around, this adult-only campsite is for you! The River Aller meanders through and there is an abundance of wildlife. This is a wonderful base from which to explore Exmoor National Park. The amenities of characterful Porlock and the popular seaside resort of Minehead are both within a few minutes drive and there are four tea rooms in the local villages on the Holnicote Estate. Porlock Weir is particularly beautiful, as is Bossington Beach and you can easily connect with the South West Coastal Path. The spacious, level campsite meadow has panoramic views up to the Dunkery Commons moorland (where you can walk to Dunkery Beacon, the highest point on Exmoor at 1705ft (520m) and to Ley Hill, Selworthy Woods and Grabbist. Grass pitches cater mainly to tents, with a small number of caravan and campervan pitches. All are set in this scenic meadow with access to good quality drinking water, a good toilet block and showers.

The setting here is a haven for walkers and cyclists, with access to endless beautiful moorland, countryside and coastal areas, with spectacular scenery. Local beauty spots include Webber's Post, Dunkery Beacon, North Hill, Selworthy Woods, Grabbist and Ley Hill. The beaches of Bossington, Porlock Weir and Minehead are within easy reach.
Activities on Exmoor include mountain biking, horse riding, coasteering, kayaking and surfing, mountain climbing, abseiling and archery. Drop by Porlock Visit Centre for more information.
Guests can also simply relax at the campsite, listening to the river meandering through and looking out for a variety of wildlife including dragonflies, barn owls, rabbits, buzzards - you may even spot red deer. The Holnicote Estate is also home to beaver and water vole conservation projects.
The beach at Minehead, also known as the Strand, is a ten minute drive from the site. Enjoy a scenic stroll along the seafront and you'll reach the South West Coast Path at the end of the beach.
