Large Tent - Electric Grass Tent PitchesAug 2026

My 4 children and partner stayed for 2 nights and was greeted by the happiest chap ever! The receptionists were so helpful and was shown to our pitch within 5 minutes of checking in. The campsite was clean and tidy, everyone was friendly and the kids really enjoyed the entertainment (ages between 4-9). Their favourite part was the use of the pool. I will definitely be staying here again!

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Touring PitchesJul 2026

I had high expectations for this site but was disappointed. Cleanliness of toilet blocks not great; in busy times I would expect staff to be checking/cleaning more regularly. Although outside pool very nice and staff very friendly, the outside bar area could do with repainting and the bar itself was dated and dark. On site shop could look so much better too. With a bit more input, this could be much improved.

Excellent stay

Nice resort and good facilities. Only downside, as soon as the clock strikes 10am, staff are hassling you every 5 minutes when they can see you are almost finished packing up, to the point they start waiting around and hassling you - what a shame.

Nice campsite

Nice campsite perfect for families, we wouldn't stay longer than 2 nights as a couple with no children. Ideal for families, children can be let lose and they are. Showers could do with an upgrade. Cleanliness is hard due to too many people and children left to their own devices. Nice bar, café. Site staff hard working and friendly. They do their best. Huge area with lots of pitches and space.

Not as expected

Large Tent - Electric Grass Tent PitchesJul 2026

Lovely part of the country and site had everything you need. However, there were too many wasps to be able to enjoy outside activities. Toilet block was not very clean, but given it's the 6 weeks holidays maybe this is why, but generally needs a good refurb. WiFi none existent.

Loveky peaceful site, great pool!

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJul 2026

We loved this pretty, peaceful site. Clean, attractive toilet and shower blocks. Nice little shop and restaurant. Fantastic pool and sunbed area. We loved the pool but could have done with it opening a bit earlier and closing a bit later, to allow for going out during the day, even an extra half hour each end would be quite an improvement. The restaurant food was fine, but the menu was a bit limited.

Short stay, worth every penny

Was a pleasure staying with you at Whitehall Country Park. A warm welcome from the reception team, great outdoor swimming pool area with the grounds well maintained. Clean shower rooms, couldn't really fault our short stay and we will definitely be staying with you again.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJun 2026

Fabulous hidden gem of a site, amazing facilities, great pitches and all the amenities you could require on site including indoor and outdoor pools! Jon - the escort to our pitch, was great and extremely helpful. Food on site was varied from takeaway hut to pub grub, which is value for money and delicious. The site has a calm and genteel atmosphere across the park - especially given there are many pitches and facilities which can usually incur noise! We will be back for sure - be careful to use your sat nav wisely if towing or in a motorhome as there are some very narrow lanes close by and quiet the white knuckle ride if not avoided but no reflection on the site - worth a visit.

Great site

Roof Tent - Electric Grass Touring PitchesJun 2026

Our first trip with a roof tent, great service from the start with a buggy to show us to our pitch. Wonderful outdoor pool to cool down in, live entertainment in the hayloft in the evenings. A lovely site, beautiful countryside all around. We will definitely return to this site.

Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Touring PitchesJun 2026

The pitch I was given was on such a slope, it was impossible to level the caravan. The back was touching the ground with no way to level it. Also, the road to the campsite was very narrow with passing points, not ideal if 2 cars with caravans met. The swimming out side pool was very busy due to the weather being hot the indoor pool cost extra. The shop was very expensive for milk and bread but overall, we had a good stay with a bus stop making it easy to get around without the car.

Lovely, peaceful campsite but with plenty going on

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJun 2026

Whitehill Country Park is a very nice place to stay, we stayed here during the extremely hot spell of weather, at least 32 degrees. We didn't use the swimming pools, we have air con in our motorhome so managed to stay cool. It's a very pretty place with lots of trees around for shade, the evening entertainment that we saw, bingo and a quiz the 1st night, World Cup football the 2nd and singing on the 3rd was pretty good ( we were only there mid week), before the full summer programme. All the staff, from reception to the bar/ restaurant( food was fine) were very chatty, polite and helpful. The whole place was kept spotlessly clean including the showers and toilets.

Large Tent - Electric Grass Tent PitchesMay 2026

Seasoned backpacker and now have children so venturing into family camping holidays. This place is amazing: staff were top notch and so helpful and friendly. The facilities are clean and there are enough to service a full campsite. The swimming pools were amazing: the outdoor pool has no restrictions on numbers and very few rules: ideal for an autistic boy who is too afraid to have fun in case he breaks the rules. The on site shop stocked everything you need (including Gin at a reasonable price). You can buy games and inflatables and on site and they will happily pump them up for you to use in the pool. The food isn't Michelin star but it's good enough to keep you going: burgers are certainly better than McDonalds! Everyone on site adhered to the 10pm quiet time (except the babies). 10 minutes to a fabulous beach with paddle boarding, kayaking and very little rip tiding. All in all, just an amazing place for a holiday and we honestly had a brilliant stay. Thank you so much for extending our night too.

The best holiday!!

Large Tent - Electric Grass Tent PitchesMay 2026

Really enjoyed our stay in Devon. The site itself is immaculately clean with clean toilets and great showers. Bear in mind that the site is a little way out of Paignton down narrow lanes. Overhall we really enjoyed our time visiting Dartmouth and Babbacombe which are both worth a visit. We didn't go into Brixham as it was the pirate weekend and the town looked very busy, maybe on our next visit.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Touring PitchesAug 2025

The park is conveniently located within easy driving of all major parts of Torbay. The road leading to the campsite is quite narrow but there are plenty of pull over sections for passing vehicles and this part of our journey was only about a quarter of a mile. Once at the park we were escorted to our pitch. The reception staff were warm and inviting, smiling and enthusiastic. our pitch was slightly smaller than I had anticipated but we eventually managed to get our caravan positioned properly, this was partly due to my inexperience as it was only my second time towing a caravan! I would pay extra next time for a large pitch as only had room a for awning and caravan, no seating space. Our car had to be parked in front of caravan. The facilities on the site were very good. it's a beautiful campsite with plenty to keep the kids entertained. Toilets showers etc were very well maintained and the food at the club house was fabulous we will certainly be back but to a bigger pitch.

Be careful of single track road taking you there

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJul 2025

A great place to stay but I have a major problem with the directions getting there. The road the sat nav took us via exits at the entrance to the park but it is not suitable for motorhomes and we scratched the hell out of ours in doing so. It's bordering on negligent that a campsite that caters for motorhomes failed to warn customers of this and made no attempt to warn road users at the entrance of the single track road, that it's not suitable for many campsite users.

Site's response

Thank you for your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear that your sat nav directed you down an unsuitable route to get to us. The directions on our website and arrival information provide details of the most suitable approach to our location for all vehicles, including motorhomes and touring caravans. This is via the main road into Stoke Gabriel, following Stoke Road from the Parkers Arms. While we strive to provide clear guidance, unfortunately Devon does has a high number of narrow lanes and it is not practical to list every potentially unsuitable route to the park, as this could lead to further confusion. Sat navs can occasionally be inaccurate and we cannot be responsible for routes selected by these. If you're travelling in a larger vehicle, it is recommended that you use the HGV or large vehicle setting to help avoid inappropriate routes. Long Road is signposted as unsuitable for HGVs, so if you are using an alternative route, we would also advise keeping an eye out for local road signage before proceeding, as this provides important information on access restrictions and road suitability. Whilst we hope you enjoyed your stay once you arrived, we're truly sorry that the error with your Sat Nav led you down an unsuitable route which affected your overall experience with us.

The site itself was good, there was nothing to complain about except there was no 'wow factor' for the price.

Our tent pitch was beautiful. The staff members were outstanding and nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were very clean to a high standard. We really enjoyed our stay and the walks for our dog had the most amazing views. We will all definitely return.

Large Tent - Electric Grass Tent PitchesJun 2025

Brilliant campsite near the picturesque village of Stoke Gabriel. The campsite offers an outdoor pool with a children's splash play area and an adult outdoor spa pool. There is also an indoor pool that you can book and pay £3.50 to use. There are 2 main play areas for younger kids and an indoor games room. Food is served in the restaurant and in the hatch by the outdoor pool. It is a lovely family orientated campsite with dog friendly walks and butterfly trails to explore. The beautiful town of Dartsmouth is a short drive away.

Large Tent - Electric Grass Tent PitchesMay 2025

Great stay, lovely pool areas, very well maintained throughout, friendly staff. Our pitch location was perfect for families with children, close to the park and shower/toilet block and not too far to the pool, bar, shop etc. Wi-Fi wasn't the best. Toilet facilities were fresh and clean. The showers were ok, could have done with staying on a little longer between button pushes. Lovely walks in the woods. Close to local amenities, shops, beach, zoo, shops etc. overall a lovely place, would recommend and would stay again.

Very accommodating

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesOct 2024

Excellent site, very clean and the site is well spaced. All facilities are very clean and well maintained. My only criticism is that we were too far away from the main buildings as walking is a bit problematic. We would have liked to use the great bar and perhaps the pool. However, we did not request any kind of disability facilities so our own fault really. Thank you.
