Cabin - Caradoc Lodge with Wood-Fired Hot Tub (Dog Friendly) May 2026 We had a fantastic time! We stayed there with our two children (5 & 8), the location was perfect, and Rita and the team super welcoming and helpful. The cabin was comfortable and had everything you needed, a little bit smaller than we expected (especially the toilet), but the hot tub was definitely the highlight of the trip, especially for the children.
I have found the cabins a little bit too close to each other, but the other guests were very nice, and accommodating for our excited (and sometimes loud) the kids were. We also had friends come in their campervan and park in the camping area. It meant we could all hang out and eat together around our cabin. Rita was extremely accommodating and welcoming to our friends as well. There were goats nearby and they were great companions to the 4 kids. We used the shared showers, which were ok.
It was after a long weekend with plenty of people in and out, so it was to be expected. Our cabin was very clean when we checked in, and I definitely recommend giving it a try.
Relaxing Stay
Glamping Cabin - Moonshine and Sundown Shacks (Optional Wood-Fired Hot Tubs, Dog Friendly) Apr 2026 Lovely stay in one of the glamping cabins.
Fire Pit and Log fired hot tub booked with fantastic view.
Had two young children and they loved the experience, definitely go back, maybe try a round house with hot tub next time.

Wonderful late Valentines getaway
Glamping Cabin - Ape Dale View Cabin (Optional Wood-Fired Hot Tub, Dog Friendly) Feb 2026 Me and my partner booked the Apedale cabin with the wood fired hot tub, for a late valentines getaway. What can else can I say, but that it was beautiful and peaceful.
We both agree it was thoroughly relaxing and we will definitely be coming back again! Rita's mum was lovely and welcoming (sorry I never caught your name!) and the cabin and hot tub were wonderfully comfortable. The hot tub was preheated with a fire going already, and a second bag of logs delivered to our cabin on the next day also.
Honesty shop was a lovely, with fresh eggs directly from the farm available too! Bonus! Can't fault the place, and don't let the composting toilet put you off, it's clean and smell free, with porcelain thrones available on site with the showers if you'd prefer.

Lovely secluded location not far from the local town, great host and a beautiful cabin we spent the night in.
A perfect getaway for anyone looking for some peace and quiet. Will definitely be returning.

We booked 2 nights and received a warm welcome on arrival. Rita was very friendly, we only stayed one night as it was our daughter's first time camping and although she enjoyed it, she did become homesick.
We will definitely be back to stay Rita. Absolutely loved it and can't wait to get booked again, thanks Rita.
