2nd visit and we would stay again!
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2023 We have stayed before and loved it so much that we stayed again for longer. We use the caravan area with our young family. Site is clean, well looked after and the kids love it. It's also in an excellent position for visiting Bakewell, Buxton and Chatsworth.
Brilliant site

Well looked after, hot showers, immaculate toilets, lots of pubs close by within driving distance which serve food. Can't wait to visit again.
Lovely campsite
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Aug 2023 Brilliant stay, cater for everyone, very clean. The pizza evenings are great and recommend you try them out.
Just be aware that unfortunately, there are not many flat pitches, but if you are at the top of field, the views are amazing. Will definitely be going back.

Overall, a good campsite
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Aug 2023 Our stay at Barn Farm Campsite was nice.
Good footpaths from the campsite which we enjoyed being dog owners and having children with lots of energy. Play park was good and some games on the front of the campsite (nearer to reception) a bit dated but still ok to play on. Peacocks wandering around campsite, which was nice to see. We found toilets, shower, washing up areas clean and tidy. Showers were always nice and hot! A little shop onsite, which is handy.
Ok so a couple of points from us. Lady in reception was not particularly friendly or helpful, which is a shame. The field we were on was field 2, which we didn't realise, as we thought we were on field 1, but there was no clear signage nor was it made clear in reception. We weren't asked to move. Also, it was on a hill, so camping space was limited as naturally want to try be on flatter ground.
Our stay Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2023 Poor arrival system, nonchalant, unhelpful staff. The only toilet block needs updating and was a long walk from our pitch.
Certain member of staff thought it was okay to drive their utility vehicle, around the site, recklessly fast and drift it around corners. My complaint to reception was met with the nonchalant reply, "yeah ok".
Wouldn't recommend and won't return.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2023 Brilliant location, excellent price, facilities kept very clean. The only slight downer was the condition of the games room and our side toys. People need to respect the items more, a lot were broken or didn't work but I suspect this is more to misuse.
Staff were helpful and always busy doing something. Touring bar and food were also brilliant at the weekend.

Excellent and well equipped campsite
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Jul 2023 We have just got home from a fantastic few days at Barn Farm. The facilities were clean and hot water plentiful. The open fronted barn was a really handy place to eat in when it was raining! We would definitely recommend this site.
Excellent campsite, great location
Medium Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) Jul 2023 The campsite was brilliant. We loved it and had a thoroughly fab time.
We were fine without a hook up and had a hassle-free and very pleasant stay. The location was amazing and the fact a pizza van came at the weekend was fab too.
A couple of points are that the recycling took a while to be emptied and that the men's toilets, although clean had a distinct wiff. We managed to get a flat space although these are sought after.
Overwhelming though- a great find and would love to go back.
Great campsite and facilities
Medium Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) Jul 2023 Lovely campsite, we went with a group of friends and had a fabulous time.
We had both sunshine and rain, the site is sheltered yet still provides wonderful scenery and views into the valley.
We had 8 children with us, ranging from 2-9 years and the site was safe and had plenty to keep them entertained. NB the games room requires 50p coins and £1 coins to operate.
The only negative was the cleanliness - generally okay and I think the loos were cleaned twice daily…the quality of the clean could be improved.
Plenty of facilities though for washing, showers etc, including adult-only showers, and pot wash areas etc were great.
Great value for money and I would return!
Great campsite
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Jul 2023 Our first camping trip with our daughters and the facilities were spot on. The showers were lovely and clean. Added bonus of a breakfast cob van. Wood fired pizza and only a short walk to nearby pubs. Site was perfect for the children with plenty of little play areas to keep them occupied.

Large Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) Jul 2023 Fabulous stay at Barn Farm. It helped that the weather treated us kindly, but the site was great. Great facilities, clean and friendly. We will definitely be coming back.
Great Location
Trailer Tent - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2023 Difficult to find fault with this site. Facilities are great, showers and toilets always clean and always hot water for showers. Great walks all round without the need to drive off site.
Only improvement I would suggest is that the shop could be open more often and better stocked.
Barn Farm is an excellent base for DofE Expeditions

Peace and quiet
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2023 Not our first stay here, but such a marvellous location and with all the facilities you need! Be aware the (well stocked and good priced) shop doesn’t open on a Sunday, but otherwise it’s such a scenic place to rest and relax - and the local pub isn’t too far to walk either. Will be back again.
