Enjoy a relaxing lakeside getaway at Bowland Lakes Leisure Village, located on the edge of the Forest of Bowland, just 20 minutes from Lancaster. The cosy camping pods offer a weather-proof alternative to camping, with electric sockets, heating and lighting. There are large fishing lakes or smaller ponds to choose from, with the River Wyre flowing past too. It is also just 25 minutes to Morecambe and 35 minutes to Blackpool and the Lake District!

Absolutely beautiful area, so tranquil & peaceful it’s like stepping into another world. We stayed in one of the camping pods for 2 nights this weekend and the pod was clean, spacious & perfect for 2 people. Lots of facilities available including a modern single shower & toilet a few metres from the pods (as well as shared facilities behind the central building - along with a washing up area). Shower warmed up quickly & stayed hot which you don’t always expect at a campsite. Gail from the site team made us feel so welcome, huge thank you to her in particular for getting us some butter from the shop after we forgot to bring some! Soft drink cans & small ice cream tubs available to buy from reception which is a really nice touch. Would highly recommend this place to anyone, and we’ll be coming back again soon.

Everyone would enjoy this place and for basic camping pod just bring a good airbed or camp bed. I didn't come to fish but it is an angler's paradise. Very friendly warm welcome in person and by email with all info I needed. Really close to M6 so perfect to break up a long journey.
