Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (Adult Only, Wellington View) Dec 2025 Overall, very satisfied . We received a warm welcome from a member of staff and was otherwise left alone to enjoy the peace and quiet.
The road approach was easy to find and easily accessible although there was a number of potholes which made driving a little more challenging. I am a keen fisherman but did not fish on my stay as it was just too cold. However, I would have liked to see clearer signage regarding the fish options, rules, methods of payment displayed next to the lake.
Some signage on site indicating where certain local attractions could be found would have been most beneficial as I tried using Google Maps, but struggled due to poor internet signal.
Will definitely return in the warmer days for a bit of fishing.

Lovely weekend away
Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (Adult Only, Wellington View) Oct 2025 Booked on a whim, as just 45 mins from home, and no charge for dogs. So glad we found this little gem. Lovely walks and being on the Brampton Valley Way meant safe cycling. We went down into Market Harborough for lunch and a look around the lovely shops.
The tunnel within a mile of the campsite was fun to explore. Just remember a torch!
Great sized bathrooms, although with only two for men and two for women, it could get very busy if the site was full.
The tea shop site was welcomed, and we had a mid morning coffee and returned later in the day for tea and scones.
