VW-Type Campervan - Medium Electric Hardstanding Touring PitchesAug 2025

Our favourite campsite out of 8 others we stayed at throughout our Scotland trip! Gorgeous views, well spaced out site with lots of facilities meaning there is no standing or waiting around. There were lots of staff members seen at different times of the day who were maintaining the site (emptying bins, cleaning the bathrooms) the ladies on the reception desk were so friendly and made such an effort with our little one. The burger van was an added bonus too. Absolute bonus of the Harry Potter train passing through the site! The little parks were a great addition too!

Perfect to stay even longer

Amenities are very clean. Even a bathtub is available. Swimming in Loch Eil is directly accessible. Site provides only two places for dishwashing, so expect a queue there. Very quiet place!

Excellent campsite

Medium Tent - Medium Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025

Excellent campsite. Great location, facilities and cleanliness. There's absolutely nothing to complain about except some midgets but that's Scotland, so you'll have to expect them. The campsite reception has all the products available to buy for the midgets like sprays, face nets, candles etc.

Good campsite overlooking Loch Eil. Got a fade full of smoke from the Harry Potter train. If in the Fort William area again would definitely return to this site again.

Medium Tent - Medium Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025

Hate to write this because I had high hopes when I booked but when we arrived, there was no space as they don't reserve a pitch for you and your tent it is just a free for all. There were cars everywhere scattered over the road and stuff, it was like a music festival vibes. There was a night warden and when we asked him why there was no space, he said 'what do you want me to do about it?'. He then said you'll just have to pitch your tent up in this little space meant for campervans but you will need to move again in the morning. The showers were also not clean, the water was cold and they were overcrowded. Campsite was noisy at night, dogs barking and stuff. The place was just hectic and not relaxing. So yeah, unfortunately I would not recommend and that's a shame because the scenery and location is very cool.

The lady who greeted us was excellent. Quiet location out of town. Local bus was great as we had a motorhome & wanted access to town. Love the ensuite style showers. Laundry unfortunately was outrageously expensive.

Very happy with our stay

Medium Tent - Medium Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025

Good location to help explore some of the great sights in the area. Worth noting that the ground was very tough for pegs to get into unfortunately. Also, poor signage on where to get accessible clean water. Having to search the site looking for taps. Due to the weather warning being upgraded, we missed out on our second night stay but think it was for the best. Considering other campsites facilities and the pricing, I would say it is on the steeper side of camping rates.

Excellent stay at a well kept park, with great views over Loch Eil. Staff were very friendly. The burger van did excellent breakfasts and burgers.

Single Axle Caravan - Large Electric Hardstanding Touring PitchesAug 2025

Uninviting pitches. Very uninviting pitches. You're standing on the asphalt as if you're in a parking lot. The sanitary facilities are clean and excellent. You can walk from the campsite to the loch, but it's not suitable for swimming. A good base for Ben Nevis. Translated from Dutch.

Good facilities and location

Medium Tent - Medium Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2025

Do not book here if you care about cleanliness. There's a reason the bathrooms aren't available in the pics. Good location, good check in however, the bathrooms were very wet, had wet hair clumps all over the floors, dirty wet plasters in the showers, soil and cobwebs everywhere. Water pressure also low. Flat camping ground had no view. View camping ground was slanted and very overcrowded as everyone wanted the view. No assigned pitches - anyone can camp right next to you. 10 / 15 minute drive from Ben Nevis.

Good location and lovely site

Small Tent - Small Non Electric Grass Tent PitchesJul 2025

Toilets and showers were very clean. Area was lovely. Tent pitching was a little too cramped for my personal preference. Needed a little bit more space, was still ok. The only thing I would say would to have more small bins down by the tent pitches and possibly some large skip bins for bigger items to be disposed of. But, everything was lovely. Staff were excellent. Location and condition of the facilities was fantastic. I would definitely stay again.

Long weekend

The location of the site was stunning, you certainly in no way are squeezed in like sardines on the pitches. Lots of room, you could park side on, looking onto the Loch and have space for another parked beside you. To justify the price, the facilities should really be far better, which was a real shame.

Beautiful location

Medium Tent - Medium Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2025

What a lovely stay, the campsite was well organised, I was able to set up quickly and park near my pitch. The facilities were plentiful and cleaned regularly. I was able to buy a tasty burger on-site, which was an unexpected treat, the chap running the van was a delight to talk too. I braved a swim, the water was chilly but super refreshing on a hot day, and what a fantastic place to swim! I was also able to charge the car at a nearby supercharger - so ticks an all around from me!

VW-Type Campervan - Small Electric Hardstanding Touring PitchesJul 2025

We arrived after the reception was closed but a park map and details of our pitch were left for us to collect. Facilities were good and plenty of hot water in the showers. There is a small Co-op 1.5 miles away for topping up groceries. The shop on site looked a little sparse but that may have been a result of them recently moving the reception /shop to a different area. Direct access to the Loch and on the day we were there, it would've been perfect for water sports. Would we stay again? Yes, definitely.

We stayed only one night, but wished we had longer. Even though on the top terrace, our pitch still had views of the Loch. Only thing I had any issue with was that the showers were barely lukewarm when I used them around 9 pm.

Friendly staff amazing scenery good facilities

Medium Tent - Medium Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jun 2025

I'm just back from a nights camping and I've never bothered ever leaving a review. I did feel the need to bother my backside after just one nights camping . First night with the family in a tent. Staff were wonderful and very helpful the campsite was clean as were the facility's and the area for pitching had a woodland feel to it with steps down to the water and amazing views. What a beautiful part of the world.
