Sam couldn’t have been more helpful. Lovely location out of town. Amenities were clean but very basic.

Motorhome - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

Lovely spot. No one at reception and calls not answering on the mobile number, so had to just wait until the staff returned. Toilets could be done with remodelling, showers were fine.

Site's response

We have a system that allows guests to arrive outside office hours. During the day the one person in reception may have to be out of the office for a short while to do something on site. Every phone call is always answered as soon as possible, which I tried to on your occasion but got no answer.

Night stay, good location

Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

Lovely large site and can choose where to pitch up. Large pitch areas. Next to a Loch that you can walk along the pebbles. A small play park with gym equipment and a sand pit. A pot wash area. Lovely women's toilets. Men's toilet were not the cleanest. Shower blocks had dirty floors and clumps of hair and slippery tiles.

Affordable and friendly

Motorhome - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

We liked the location on the shore of the forth, the friendly staff, the food stand on the campsite and the landscape around. When we were there, there was ample space during the day between tents for playing games.

Very good

Roof Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

I didn't get to stay this time as it was very windy - they phoned me to see if everything was OK as I didn't turn up which I thought was very good.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

The site is situated in a beautiful place however, the toilets and shower areas are totally dirty. Not kept clean and most of the times, the tissues are out.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

Lovely little campsite, friendly atmosphere with some lovely views. The facilities could be better, the showers and toilets are very dated and not overly clean, they would benefit from an upgrade. The children's play park was dated too, but many children's were on bikes riding around the site. There's a little cabin on site that serves breakfast and dinner which was nice, and good value for money.

Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

The site is in a great location and allowed us to explore the local area - Loch Ness, Inverness, Cawdor Castle, Nairn beach etc. We were there during Storm Floris and being right on the waters edge we were a bit nervy, but the hedge we were backed in to helped a lot.

Busy campsite with good facilities

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

Good facilities but showers were cold on the second night. Very busy site so it felt a bit cramped in. Great location and proximity to Inverness.

Motorhome - Non Electric Grass PitchesJul 2025

We only stayed the one night, we had our caravan and my mother had her motorhome. We received a warm welcome, were promptly shown to our pitch and guided in with ease. The facilities on site are clean, and freely available.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesJul 2025

We stayed for 2 nights with family, and really enjoyed it. The site was big enough that you weren't on top of one another. It was ideally located from Beauly and Inverness city centre. There are lots of things to do in and around the area.

Motorhome - Electric Grass PitchesJul 2025

It's a campsite that needs a little facelift. Tucked away on the Moray on Firth ,near Culloden and Urquhart Castle (driving). Quiet spot with a food van and a well stocked camp shop. Either drive or catch a taxi into the city. For its location and ambience, it's worth a night or two.

Lovely location and lots to see within driving distance

Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesJul 2025

Lovely location and lots to see within driving distance. Management good, shower block a bit dated but clean, and pitch was spacious. Shop, laundry, pot wash area onsite, and a playpark too. A busy campsite, but didn't feel overcrowded. We would book again.

Perfect family campsite

Very nice campsite with good facilities to make your stay very comfortable. No fixed pitches but plenty of choice even on a busy summer weekend.
