Had a great stay here, lovely site. Great facilities, food vans (stayed on a Saturday night). Lots of options for pitches, some sunny, some shady. Would definitely visit again.

Excellent site for those that want a chilled vibe with stunning views in a great location. Close to lots of fabulous walks. We stayed as a group of families of teen kids (14-17) and it was great we were in a big field with wonderful views slight trek to toilets water etc and a tap in the lower fields would be amazing but it wasn't really a negative. There are areas that are suited for young families which are quiet and we were in an area where we felt our group could kick back and not worry too much about the volume produced by our kids. The owners were so laid back and friendly and there was a small shop with fire pits log bags and essentials. Fridays to Sundays in summer there are a few food vans. We used Annie's which was really good and there was a pizza van too, which we didn't try. This is an amazing campsite well situated for loads of local attractions and perfect for groups and families. There is absolutely masses of space for rounders football etc. Would definitely visit again.

This is a great campsite for the mixture of good facilities and space. Can be noisy but does quite down around midnight! Showers and toilets, I can't fault and never seemed to have to wait to use. Not sure about the little shop as never seemed to be open when we went past but doesn't matter, Bakewell is just down the road, so plenty of places to stock up. They did have pop up food and drink bar, didn't get a chance to try as we had our own. Would definitely visit and stay again as it is in a great location for walks and adventures! Also, plenty of bins to get rid of your rubbish so no need to take home with you.

Such a beautiful campsite with great toilet and shower facilities. The campsite, location, toilet and shower facilities were great. It welcomed friendly guests. The only difficulty we had was contacting the owners to use the shop, but once we got through to their phone number, they were able to assist with selling us a campfire.

A good family site with a nice vibe

Easy to book online (via Campsites.co.uk). Easy to find and only 15 minute drive from Bakewell for supplies. The campsite owner greeted us on arrival and was very friendly (as with all other reviews I read). Toilets and shower blocks are brand new and always kept clean. The views from the campsite over Lathkill Dale are absolutely stunning and with lots of space to choose from, both sheltered or on the hilltop, you're spoilt for choice. The site is very family-orientated and kept clean, despite being reasonably busy over the weekend due to local festivals going on on the area. Me and the dogs had a lovely stay and will definitely be back!

We just had a lovely stay at Haddon Grove. The guy on reception duties was super friendly and told us where facilities were and that they had opened extra fields so plenty of space, and he wasn't wrong. It is set in a beautiful bit of Derbyshire and feels very peaceful and picturesque. Onsite facilities were good and the distance to them depended on where you chose to camp. We had a grass no-electric pitch for our VW Camper so had our pick of the fields. The site is a fair distance from the nearest pub so best to be self sufficient, in which case it's fantastic. There were two food vendors on site that typically operate on Saturdays but actually did Friday too when we were there (pizzas, burgers, gyros and good veggie options). We will definitely be going back again.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent PitchesJun 2025

We camped prior to having children and as the youngest is now 3 decided to give it ago again. When we arrived the reception suggested we go to field 2 where there was lots of space. We did and set up around the perimeter looking down the valley. Great view, and all other visitors have us allot of space. Lots of nice families arrived later on in the day, but all spread out and gave each others space. Facilities were very clean and decent water pressure and temperature in the showers. We were very impressed and would recommend the site and return again in the future.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent PitchesJun 2025

Lovely location, 360 views of rolling hills. Very easy to just turn up and pitch where we wanted. The perfect weekend escape and the facilities were nice and clean at all times. Worth noting that on a busy Saturday (and perhaps due to the current drought) the water for showers/ toilets would sometimes stop and it could've done with double the loos for 5 fields in use. We would still come back for a couple of nights, a really nice atmosphere suitable for couples and families alike.

Excellent site

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring PitchesJun 2025

Excellent site in beautiful countryside. Owner was very friendly and helpful, said we were free to choose our pitch which made us feel relaxed as some sites are very regimented. Toilet and shower facilities were clean and modern. Pizza van on a Saturday night was a nice addition as the site was about 10mins drive from Bakewell.. We would definitely use this site again and recommend to friends and family.

Loverly site

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent PitchesJun 2025

Fantastically clean, new showers and toilet blocks - impressed. Pitched, thought we had chosen well until 2 very large campers appeared either side. So all night, we were jumping in the tent with the rollers and banging shut of the side doors of the campers. And two fire pits either side, blowing smoke in our tent. I'm lung compromised so had gone for country fresh air 😂😢

Nice spacious campsite in a nice location, direct access down the hill to Lathkill Dale - a really nice walk and waterfall and cave. Pizza truck on Friday night was lovely, and the toilets and showers were regularly cleaned and stocked.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Hardstanding Touring PitchesMay 2025

I stopped here earlier this year before the new shower and toilet facilities. What an improvement, it made such a difference to our stay! It's a really popular place, with idyllic walks and relaxed setting. We will be back. My only critique is in the summer, the new facilities could probably do with doubling at somewhere else on the sites 5 fields.

Great site

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring PitchesMay 2025

We had a lovely stay at Haddon Hall Campsite. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was really friendly and relaxed. It was great to be able to pitch wherever we liked—it gave the whole experience a nice laid-back feel. One of the highlights for us was being able to have a fire pit in the evening. The on-site shop was well stocked with everything you’d need, including fire pits for hire, plenty of logs, and even marshmallows for toasting! The walk straight from the camping field into the nature reserve was absolutely beautiful—such a bonus having direct access. It is quite a steep path though, so something to be aware of if you’ve got mobility issues. Sadly, our trip was cut short due to really high winds, but even so, we thoroughly enjoyed our time there and will definitely be back.
