A well located campsite - great for getting into Padstow, and the many coves and beaches of the north west of Cornwall.
Our experience here was mixed - we met up here with friends and pitched in a good elevated, flat spot, but as there is no current demarcation of where to pitch, it meant for a haphazard series of tent placement. The weather did not help - extremely windy and wet for this time of year (no one's fault!), but also, the lack of organisation of pitches meant for a series of "mud roads" being formed by campers coming in and off the site.
In the end, we left a day early, having seen a car getting stuck in the mud whilst trying to exit. As the site develops, a simple looped gravel path leading from the entrance and around the site to the exit would help enormously.
Facilities were on the way to being excellent - newly constructed and furnished washrooms were currently being established and whilst open to use, still need some finishing touches. A draining space and cover for the dish washing area is also badly needed, with a hot water feed if possible.
However, we enjoyed the experience and would return to the site, hoping for less biblical wind and rain next time!
