WOW! Super site!

Super friendly welcome, beautifully kept site. Exquisite facilities that were very clean. Great location next to a canal, which is ideal for dog walks. Great pub less than 5 minutes walk that serves wonderful food. Unbelievable that this site is less than 2 miles from the M6. We would certainly stay there again!

With us being less than 2 miles from Junct 36 on the M6 and 20 mins from the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District our location works out really well for folk who are touring. And a canal towpath on our doorstep and dog friendly pub across the road works well for people who want to stay close !! Paul & Sarah

newbies to the van world and what a place to start deffo come back, site set up perfect toilets are 5 5tar hotel level, washing up and laundry area clean and welcoming(as it can be wasing up). overall very impressed

Awesome site

What a fabulous site! Shower and toilet block awesome, so clean and spacious. Beautiful walks along the canal and lovely views. We were made very welcome on arrival. A beautiful clean and very well kept site.

Outstanding facilities

I particularly appreciated the quality of the facilities: toilets, showers and wash-up facilities were spacious, warm, and spotlessly clean. The 20p meter on the shower helped to encourage considerate use. The proximity to the excellent Crooklands pub was another stand-out feature, as was the absence of unnecessary lighting, which allowed me to appreciate a clear starry sky.

Little gem of a site

Beautiful little site in pretty countryside. Very clean and facilities excellent. Opposite a canal with swans, ducks, heron and squirrels, great for a dog walk. Owner was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely highly recommend this site. We had booked three nights but liked it so much stayed an extra night.

Convenient location

Convenient location for visiting coast, south lakes as well as countryside. Nice walks in surrounding area and cycling along canal towpath. Sufficient showers and toilets for our visit but wonder if they are stretched in peak season, however these facilities were modern and clean.

Charming oasis

Lovely well maintained small campsite, great location and close to lots of walks a good pub and facilities. Paid for showers even at 20p a go felt a bit much after paying site fees, and also inconvenient.

Hello Paul, Thank you for recently staying at our charming oasis. For a while, the showers were "free" and we had multiple instances of people hogging the showers for 15-20 minutes at a time, which thoroughly upset other customers who were waiting for a hot shower and the upsetting them even more when they found that the previous customer has exhausted all of the hot water. From the point that we reintroduced the 20p for 3 min charge, the shower availability has improved enormously and we've never run out of hot water. At the same time as reintroducing the 20p for 3 min charge, we also added complimentary luxury shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and hair dryers, which have proven to be very popular. The 20p for 3 min charge for the showers isn't something that is in any way hidden and is mentioned prominently, in several places on our listing. Enjoy your travels. Paul

Immaculate Site

An immaculate site a mile from the M6 so a great stopover. It is located right next to the canal for some lovely walks. The Crooklands hotel a short walk away serves delicious food. Facilities some of the best we've seen.

A lovely oasis

We have just returned from a night away at Little Acres. Everything was excellent, from the welcome email which provided all the necessary information, to the well tended and immaculate site. We liked that it was adults only and enjoyed a lovely meal at Crooklands pub, we would suggest booking as it became very busy later on. We didn't find the nearby motorway an issue at all, in fact it was very quiet. We would recommend Little Acres and would love to return.

Great site

Little acres is a fantastic site. It is very clean and facilities are fantastic even providing shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel in showers - plus washing pods in laundry room. 5 min walk to pub and a canal walk to garage and shop, a great stop off point for anyone going to Scotland from the South at just 10 mins from junction 36 on M6.

Beautiful campsite

We were made very welcome. The site was well laid out and very clean. The toilet and shower facilities were large and beautifully clean. Next to a canal for walking and cycling. Great pub down the road with excellent food. Will definitely visit again

Lovely campsite very friendly and helpful.

This is a lovely campsite great location to stop at for the Westmoreland show. Very friendly and helpful. Very well maintained grounds and facilities. Would recommend.

Gem of a site

I don't really want to share about this site because it's a little gem! Perfect if you have dogs, canal walk across from the site where there's an honesty box that sells beautiful cakes and honey. A pub opposite that is perfect for a drink or meal. The site is very clean and well maintained it's straight off the M6. The owners can't do enough for you, you won't be disappointed!

perfect getaway

as a mature couple plus dog it was perfect for us. excellent facilities and spotlessly clean. lots of dog walking available on canal just outside the site and a good pub nearby. just a lovely peaceful break

Excellent site

Little Acre campsite is conveniently located just off the M6 and is easy to access with large campervan or caravan. Facilities were modern and exceptionally clean. 20p required for shower but 3 minutes is more than enough. Crooklands pub is 2 mins walk and served great food but you need to book. Campsite is on the edge of the canal with lovely walks in both directions. We did a fabulous All Trails circular walk from Hutton Roof. Stunning views and scenery. Everything was super dog friendly too!
