A very peaceful site near Minchinhampton surrounded by fields with a couple of donkeys. A ten minute walk through village to nice pub with good food and good beer. Site toilets, showers and small kitchen were excellent. We will return again.

Lucy runs a great little site here. It's laid back, friendly and peaceful. Nice mix of vans and tents, in an open field. No regimented rows here, but spacious grass pitches. Easy 3min walk to a lovely bakery/cafe alongside a brilliant local pub ( The Crown).

Medium Tent - Paddock Non Electric Grass Tent PitchesMay 2026

We had a fantastic stay at this campsite. Beautifully kept, spotlessly clean and with additional touches to make the stay more comfortable. Great selection of local leaflets in the kitchen, which was lovely and warm and had the cleanest fridge I have ever seen in a campsite. Lucy met us and directed us to a wonderfully peaceful pitch. We mainly walked straight from the site, into Stroud and the surroundings and you can walk into Minchinhampton which is very beautiful in just a few minutes. We were too tired after our log walks to visit the pub but definitely will do next time.

Large Tent - Large Grass Pitches with Optional ElectricMay 2026

First time staying at this adult only site but won’t be the last. Lovely peaceful and picturesque location. Pitch was large so didn’t feel those by us were too close. Facilities were kept clean and as a result a pleasure to use. Kitchen has fridge freezer which proved handy when it got hotter. Received a warm welcome that continued throughout from owner Lucy who takes pride in ensuring those staying enjoy her campsite. Alan and Alice the campsite donkeys are a delight who come up to the fence to say hello. Minchinhampton was a 5 min stroll from the site - pub, boots, 2 coffee shops/cafes, premier convenience store, butchers post office, a great charity shop plus a few other little shops. Plenty of you don’t want to travel too far - if you do there is Stroud and Cirencester not to far away. Five valleys shopping centre is dog friendly and has a lot of variety in its food hall (parking £1 on a Sunday) Site has a lovely woodland walk for dogs which our dog loved. Great place to stay, great part of the UK to visit and explore.

We had a pleasant stay. 10 minute walk to the local pub (food was ok but nothing special) or 40 minute walk to The Old Lodge in middle of the Minchinhampton common which was much better. Definitely recommend the walks over and around the common etc as recommended by the site owner. Cattlegrids everywhere but didn't see a single cow!. Two small improvements: more hooks in the shower rooms are always useful, displaying a map of the Common etc showing the recommended places on wall of the 'kitchen' would make it much easier for campers to find all the loevely places.

Incredible site, small village but everything you need, lots of lovely walks and host Lucy is fantastic nothing is too much trouble. Really quiet and amazing night sky, huge pitches. Fire pits to use and logs and coal for sale. Our fourth visit to our favourite site

Very helpful owner, Lucy. I didn't need many of the facilities on offer, but was impressed with the kitchen area with washing machine, fridge freezer, local area info etc. Rotary washing line outside too. Clean, large shower rooms. Clean Elsan disposal. Dog walking area with poo bags there if needed. Very peaceful. Easy 5 min walk to village with shop, café, restaurants. Saw buses in the village, both times I was there, to Stroud and Tetbury. Couldn't fault it.

Highly recommended

Great quiet site if you want to get away, very clean with plenty of showers, toilets etc. Great location next to Minchinhampton and very friendly host. The site runs down hill so don't be like us and forget you wheel wedges if you're in a camper.

Lucy was very welcoming, even gave a lone tent dweller a hot water bottle, as it was cold! Loved the friendly donkeys, Alan and Alice. Toilets, showers and other facilities spotlessly clean. Enjoyed that the site was adult only and the pitches were not too close together.

VW-Type Campervan - Large Grass Pitches with Optional ElectricApr 2026

Large grass pitches and a really peaceful, adults-only setting. The site is full of thoughtful touches – gloves provided for emptying the chemical toilet, a washing machine and clothes horse, plus a well-equipped kitchen area with kettle, fridge and more. The site is kept spotless and toilets well stocked. The information rack on the local area is also really helpful. Lucy, the owner, couldn’t be more friendly or accommodating. It’s great value for money, dog-friendly, and an absolute gem of a base for exploring the Cotswolds. I’m a member of a well-known camping club and this site definitely gives them a run for their money.

Single Axle Caravan - Large Grass Pitches with Optional ElectricApr 2026

Lovely Site, great location near Minchinhampton. Very good spotless facilities, suitable for any length of stay. What's not to like? Very friendly helpful owner. If towing a caravan the best approach is from A419 Cirencester Road, turning south at the The Ragged Cot onto Hampton Road towards Hampton Fields. Then second right turn onto Woefuldane Bottom. (Avoid first right single track road with impressive potholes!) Then right into Tobacconist Road, site entrance at corner. All other routes are narrow.

Had an amazing stay here, a 5 min walk into the village, where there was everything you would need, but in an old world style. Just loved Henry's cafe, and the Crown's food was amazing. The site was very well laid out with nature in mind, and the donkeys are adorable, a lovely patch of trees for walking your dog, and Lucy was so welcoming and friendly, had some great chats with her. Shower blocks and toilets were clean. There was a lady solo camper and she checked her every morning, that was such a lovely thing to do. We are missing it already. Will definitely be back.

Great, quiet little campsite

Lucy is great and so is the campsite. The bathrooms are very clean, the camping spots are very nice and not too crowded, I had my own little 'bay' between two grassy tummocks, which was lovely. Lucy gave me some good tips for camping in my van, which was very helpful! There are two friendly donkeys called Alan and Alice. The countryside around the campsite is gorgeous, as is the village. I loved my stay there.

We had a wonderful stay at Tobacconist Farm Campsite and would highly recommend it. Lucy is both efficient and incredibly friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The campsite itself is lovely—clean, peaceful, and very well maintained. The toilets, shower facilities; with lots of hot water, and washing-up area are all spotless, which really made a difference to our stay. It was also a bonus to have access to a washing machine and clothes line. The location is great, with a charming little town nearby and a lovely pub to enjoy. We used the site as a base for cycling and found it perfect for exploring the surrounding area. A fantastic campsite with excellent facilities and a warm, welcoming host—we would definitely return!

Stayed 2 nights to go to Giffords Circus nearby. Lucy was very welcoming, we had a choice of pitches with EHU. Toilet and shower block is well thought out and kept clean. A short walk into the village of Minchinhampton which has pub, cafe and shops, and The Common is nearby. Campsite was quiet at night.

Had a lovely stay at Tobacconist Farm. Lucy was amazing and so helpful. The facilities were lovely and clean. Lots to do around the area and Lucy provided us with some information about the local walks and places to visit. Loved meeting the 2 donkeys - Alice and Alan - and also the not so small but amazingly friendly dog (Maddy). Thank you Lucy x
