About the site

Just an hour from London's top attractions, including the London Eye, this is the ideal base for exploring the capital while enjoying an outdoorsy escape away from the bustle of the city. Tent campers have plenty of choice. Solo backpackers are catered for with four dedicated pitches, while there are also 16 non electric grass pitches and 24 electric grass pitches, all measuring 4m x 7m. Those arriving with a trailer tent, caravan, campervan, roof tent or motorhome can choose from 23 electric grass pitches and 44 hardstanding pitches, each measuring 4m x 7.5m, or opt for one of the 20 larger electric hardstanding pitches, measuring 3.5m wide and between 7m and 10m in length. All electric hook ups are 10 amp, and every pitch accommodates up to six guests (except the backpacker pitches). There is also an extra-large hardstanding RV pitch, suitable for RVs up to 3.5m wide and 13m long. If you'd rather travel light, stay in one of the purpose-built timber cocoons, sleeping two, or cosy cabins, sleeping four. The cocoon camping pods are equipped with two camp beds, a small table, electric sockets, a kettle and two chairs. The cabins include a triple-sleeper bunk bed (one single over one double), a foldaway single camp bed, a coffee table, fridge, electric sockets, a kettle and chairs. Please note that bedding and towels are not provided. Dogs are welcome on the camping and touring pitches, and one of the cocoons and one of the cabins are also dog friendly. Bring along a BBQ to make the most of the shared BBQ area, or hire a fire pit and BBQ from the site! Please note that the site is located within London's ULEZ, so drivers may need to pay the appropriate charge. Alternatively, Ponders End train station is a 15 minute walk away.

Lee Valley Camping and Caravan Park Edmonton is open all year round. Pitches from £19/night for 2 people.

Large Tent - Electric Grass Tent PitchesJul 2026

We've just got back from a week at Lee Valley Camping and are already talking about our next visit. It's in a perfect location for a day sightseeing in central London and a fraction of the cost of hotel accommodation, so you can afford to do more! It does get a bit louder at weekend with families, kids etc but not too loud to put you off, the toilet block is a bit dated and the facilities are well used, but don't let that put you off either. The nearest train station is a 20 minute walk or there's a bus stop two mins away, a cinema right next door with a Costa, a leisure and athletics centre and if you're there on a Wednesday, a car boot sale is only a two minute walk away too The Lee Valley leisure complex runs for 26 miles and there are cycle tracks everywhere. If you're planning a London trip and like camping, this is a must do! Even if you don't camp, there are huts, cabins and teepees which can be hired out and I forgot to mention, there's an 18 hole golf course accessed right off the campsite. Check out the listing you'll be amazed what this place has to offer 👍

Well run, feels more rural than you’d expect

Lovely 2 nights - peaceful and remarkably tranquil given location. Helpful staff, fully stocked shop. Beware of mosquitoes as near the river and pretty bad at dusk. Would recommend.
