About the site

Set on a working sheep and cattle farm, this small and quiet camping and glamping site offers an idyllic getaway in the heart of North Wales. Just five minutes from the Clwydian Range And Dee Valley Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this is the perfect base for days of walking, hiking or cycling. Tent campers are welcome across the site's three non electric 5m x 5m grass pitches. Each pitch allows up to five guests with plenty of space for games and setting up your table and chairs. If glamping is more your style, the site also has four camping pods which can sleep up to five guests, Inside you will find a double bed, along with a single bed and a bench seat that converts into a small double. Foam mattresses are provided but you will need to bring your own bedding. The pods also come equipped with an ensuite loo, kitchenette with a kitchen sink, fridge and kettle for your morning coffee. To keep you cosy even on those cooler nights, the pods are fully insulted with double glazing and an electric radiator. Outside, you will also have a picnic bench for al fresco dining, along with a BBQ/fire pit for cooking up a delicious meal. For those camping, fire pits and chimineas can also be hired from the site, perfect for an evening of toasting marshmallows. Four legged friends are also welcome to join you on your stay, with up to two allowed per pitch or pod. Exclusive 'Whole of Site' bookings are commonplace, whereby extended family or friends book the whole site (four pods) for a group gathering. The summerhouse on site is a great place to set-up the buffet or congregate if the weather isn't great outside.

A note from the site themselves...

As a farming family, we're accustomed to doing things because we're passionate about it, a 'way of life'. Since retiring from farming, Ray and Rose have turned their efforts to our 'micro site', where guests are known by name, not by number. Our guest reviews speak for themselves.

The pace of life is much slower at our place and we're sure you'll enjoy the tranquillity of the countryside. As a tiny site, we can offer unique 'Whole Of Site' bookings where you book all four pods with friends or families and get exclusive use of the entire site

Jun 2025

We stayed at Clwydian Glamping Pods and Campsite from 12th–15th June 2025 and had the most wonderful experience. The host was so warm, welcoming, and attentive, which made us feel right at home straight away. Our glamping pod was spotlessly clean, warm, and super comfortable, the perfect balance of cosy and practical. A real highlight was the three friendly chickens who came to greet us every day, especially amusing us at breakfast time! It was lovely to wake up to the sheep and their lambs sat surrounding the campsite on the fields. The location is fantastic too. There’s a beautiful woodland walk directly from the site, and just a 20–30 minute stroll down the road is a brilliant pub serving exceptional food. The landlords there are some of the friendliest and most accommodating people we’ve met, which made our day out even more enjoyable. All in all, this site has everything you could want for a relaxing countryside getaway – comfort, nature, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended!

Camping Pod - Ensuite Camping Pods (Dog Friendly)Feb 2025

We had a very enjoyable stay at our Clwydian pod. It was very well equipped and furnished, warm and came with an en-suite toilet, kitchen sink, and kettle. I played chess with the kids in the lounge nearby ('village hall'). The showers next door were hot, clean and modern and the main kitchen area had all we needed. These made a big difference. Ray was a delight to meet and talk to, and very kind to me. Many thanks for a great holiday.
